Cedric was an amazing guy. He really helped Harry. He also didn't like when everyone was giving Harry a hard time with those Potter Stinks badges. During Harry's 3rd year when Harry fell off his broom during the Quidditch game because of the dementors, Cedric offered to do a rematch which was very noble. What I really didn't like was his father Amos' constant bragging about him. It was so annoying and a aggravating I'd say to him "Give it a rest". Agreed? @@kargs5krun since Voldemort's ultimate plan when killing Cedric, Sirius, the people who died at the Battle of Hogwarts, etc., is to kill Harry, Harry feels it's his fault. What Harry will never be able to realize is that Voldemort killed those people, and not because of him.
The Dursleys' blamed Harry for everything, the wizarding society tended to blame him for everything, and everyone he has ever known shoved the weight of the world onto his shoulders and forced him into fighting a genocidal maniac.

Great video as always! I might argue that the POA was also a sort of beginning in the turn the books would take though. It was the first time things weren't neatly and happily wrapped up.
Sure, Sirius and Buckbeak were saved. But it was bittersweet. Harry got stuck going back to the Dursleys after getting a small ray of hope. Sirius still wasn't exactly safe, and he couldn't be with him. Pettigrew was still on the loose as a traitor to his parents. Lupin was forced to leave the castle.
Plus, there is the addition of the dementors in this book, a pretty dark representation of depression. This all kind of makes sense with Harry just reaching adolescence at this point (13 years old). Things tend to start getting a lot more complicated at that point in life.

Cedric's death was the first time the movie hit me , I couldn't get through it . I had never experienced death. It was emotional because we lost someone so young . And it was the first time Harry and Voldermort fought face to face. It was the most terrifying thing for me to witness I mean I had nightmares for years.

Cedric’s death helped Harry realize the danger of Voldemort and it helped Harry realized that he had to do something about Voldemort or else the people that he loved could end up just like Cedric. If Cedric lived then I think the story would’ve ended differently and Harry wouldn’t have learned the lesson that he did that night Cedric died.

Goblet of Fire is a great book because is gets darker, but also that means more exicitement and the possibility that good people die. In my opinion from goblet of Fire Harry Potter isn't a book series for children only, but for adults too. 17 year old Cedric died in that book and Cedric's death hits Harry very hard. He has nightmare, where he rewatches Cedric's death. In order of Phoenix Harry can see thestrahls because he had really seen and understood death. Cedric didn't deserve to die as he was fair and a good boy.

I always thought how unbelievable it was that everyone denied voldemort was back for a shit ton of reasons:
    1. Voldemort was terrorizing hogwarts in Harry's first and 2nd year. How would it be a surprise that he would attempt to seize power once more,
    2. To solidify the first argument: Dumbledore. As headmaster and most respected wizard, how did nobody at the ministry of magic give him the benefit of the doubt?
    3. Edward Cullen gets slayed and nobody bats an eye while the triwizard tournament was abolished for the fact that there were casualties in the editions before. The tournament was specially designed to prevent that this time. Couldn't they literally do an autopsy and see he was killed by a Avada kadavra curse?
    4. How about the whole quidditch world cup death eater party and the summoning of the dark mark? How random and totally not dark lord related right.
    5. Probably the most obvious reason of all: barty crouch Jr. Renown death eating pussy boy has been impersonating mad eye for a whole year.. And no one bats an eye? How the fuck did this not ring any alarm bells at the ministry?

Book number four, Goblet of Fire, is when Harry realizes he has to accept the truth. The wizard world has its ups and downs, you can't expect life to say 'I'll save you because you're the boy who lived, because you're Harry Potter'. Life doesn't have favorites. It's like history is repeating, Voldemort is on the rise again and his misson, to kill Harry and anyone who gets in his way. Yet, Harry offered to sacrifice himself for the wizard world. And this is what he gets? An early adulthood? Classmates turning on him?

Id like to add that cedrics death launched the fear and uncertainty that happens with voldemort being back in power. They really bring it into focus in the 6th book but in order of the phoenix theres already a scary vibe in the wizarding world amongst the school. Umbridge brought on an eerie vibe to the students. Many wondered why the ministry was really interfering at hogwarts. Fudge was paranoid. I think he truly deep down knew dumbledore was telling the truth and was in deep denial. The general air of paranoia after cedrics death definitely increased in the world. It developed tenfold once voldemort was back out in the open. The way the fear reached a crescendo in book 6 reminds me of the current times we live in. Makes me wonder whats really going on in our own reality.

Which starts up your light hearted introduction in the wizard in world albeit getting darker towards the end. Act two Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix and Half blood Prince. Represents the dark middle part of the trilogy where things look Blackest. Act 3 where the heroes begin to fight back.
