I need a tutorial for the tutorial. This game is intense for a “relaxing” game.

Lol I had that very same feeling. But once I finally started to figure stuff out I love it. I recommend watching tutorial videos- this guy’s channel is particularly good.
I was thinking the same..this thing was so fast I was as lost as when I started. Also he skipped a lot of keys that you need to learn (like how to bring up the builder/terrain tool)
Ikr? I just wanted to chill and play a relaxed game. Instead I ended up stressed out and gave up. I’ll keep trying but I need to work out the Xbox controls.

the tutorial for this game is pretty useless I had no idea what to do with the oxygen tank until I saw this it never occurred to me that I was supposed to plug it into the base I guess I wasn't paying attention or something but I know they didn't make you do that in the tutorial or even really bring up any of this stuff besides the tethers and printing

The tutorial left out A LOT... but I kind a liked that. It left a ton for me to explore and find out. Even the things like where to place my oxygenator, it was just fun figuring things out .
The in-game tutorial really sucks....it doesn't teach you anything important lol

I love basics videos. I think you should have included the smelting in this video.

Not really a basic hint, just a preference, but the first item I usually get with 500 bytes is the Large Platform B, same as the A, but with wings on either side where you can store items. Makes it convenient for production machines like the smelter, so the items have a place to go after being produced.
As a returning player from over a year ago this is a great video to refresh especially since they’ve added stuff since I got the game 3 years ago.
Hey Z, great videos, I love the work you put into them, but your intro is a bit long. Try taking out the 5 seconds of empty tunnel.

Plant research and the field research give you more bits in the research chamber.
How do you plant research?
I've had the game since April of this year and I couldn't do anything until this most recent update and I'm getting back into the game. I'm just watching this because even though some people helped me earlier I still want a refresher

I don't need this but I'm watching it anyway because I love z1's charisma
There is an annoying glitch right now where if you begin to dig out a resource but don't finish, the remaining resource will disappear if you restart the game. At least, I hope it's a glitch and not an attempt to make players explore more. Fortunately, dropped items don't disappear, so you can dig out the entire resource pocket, leave what you can't carry on the ground, and pick it up later, but still, it's a bit annoying.

Feel so good I figured out how to plug the oxygenator into the base by myself! Now to salvage the wreckage..
I would like to say thank you for getting me to see that having a basic base of operations was a need. I started exploring at first but then I began to horde a lot of materials.
Tip: What ever you retrieve from the Aid Boxes...save them to be researched at the BASE for more BYTES.

The outer ring in terrain tool circle (I don't know how to explain it) shows you how much soil you have and can collect so you don't have to always look in your backpack
Can you get true flat with the allinement mod?
Nah. It flattens on the height which you begin at and curves around the world at that height.

I love Z, he's usually very helpful, but I have questions. How did he flatten the ground? All I can do is make an unholy mess, looks like the roads round here with loads of potholes lol. That's as far as I have got so far, it's frustrating. Also, how is he placing the tethers? (And picking them up again).

Rotating on XBox is left bumper and right bumper.
When I first started playing on this on XBOX it took me a while to figure it out, even though I could've just gone into the settings & looked at the controls
LB is to rotate left on Xbox and RB is to rotate right
The game changed a bit, and to get the starter pack in 2021 you have to:
In the landing pad, select Planetfall and then click on the green button.
What do you mean? I don’t have the starter pack it’s just missions
The landing pad is called the mission log for me?
