I think they tried their best to rein it in that the Darkhold corrupts everything that it touches by repeating it as many times as possible, but I think in and of itself it's such a silly concept that a lot of people don't seem to actually register that fact. At the end of Wandavision, Wanda takes possession of the Darkhold from Agatha and try to learn from it (having just learned that she is a witch), and thus gets corrupted. So yeah none of the "logic" people like Wong and Strange try to use on her would work because she's past that point, having used the Darkhold for who knows how long. On the other hand, I do like that it's her kids that bring her back to reality, especially by being so insanely afraid of her. Ultimately, even if what she's doing is obviously incredibly selfish, she is still so convinced to her core that she is doing it for her kids, so it only makes sense that it would be them that would knock some sense back into her by making Wanda realize she has essentially traumatized the two person she never wanted to hurt in any way, even if she was willing to burn the rest of the world to get to them.
The campiness of the movie was a tad too much at times, but I did enjoy the "slight" horror elements. I think they were fitting of characters like Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch, so this was probably the only opportunity Marvel would have had to make something like this with their current cast of characters.

you stated that well, thank you. I feel it corrupts but that her underlying selfishness was there already but yes, blown up to the extreme after she got the book from Agatha. I did enjoy the bits of horror they put in this movie :)

Great reaction, especially to Charles Xavier. Also, to Bruce Campbell, I've seen a lot of reactions to this movie and surprisingly few people knew who he was or what he was referencing.

Scarlet Witch is not evil or a selfish villain, she's a hero

The woman in purple Strange leaves with is Clea.
In the comics, she is Dormammu's niece, Sorceress Supreme of the Dark Dimension, & Strange's wife.
Sadly the MCU spent too much time on Christine imo. So rather than Clea being his true love like the comics, she just seems like she's gonna be his rebound / settled for 3rd choice after Christine. & a variant. 😢

You said you've seen a lot of movies? Have you seen these:
    - The Black Scorpion (1995)
    - The Black Scorpion II: Aftershock (1997)
    - The Arrival (1996)
    - The Arrival II: The Second Arrival (1998)
    - Ghost in the Machine (1993)

I have seen Ghost in the Machine (anime and live action versions) as well as The Arrival when it came out but only that one time. The others I have not seen, didn't even know they made an Arrival sequel :) I'll add these to my potential reaction list and put your name as the requestor, thank you!

@@AbsoluteApril Thanks, and to clarify, "Ghose in the Machine (1993)" is a 90s horror movie. I think you confused it with, "Ghost in the Shell?"

She was not selfish or evil she was just corrupted by the darkhold

I feel she was already being selfish in wandavision before Agatha went there with the book, and the dark hold just amplified it but yes I agree, it also corrupted her further.

@@AbsoluteApril she didn't know what she was doing in wandavision she just somehow created this world without even knowing how and as she said, she thought that she kept them safe in there so you can't judge someone's action when they're in grief, cuz I would have done the same as everyone would

"I'm so sad that she hasn't learned anything, and is still acting selfishly." *While keeping a smug look on your face*
Uhm, what? 😂 Are you for real? Have you forgotten what Doctor Strange said about the Darkhold? I just hope this is just an error on your part, because it would be disappointing to know that you intentionally denied yourself of this fact.

"Where is the guy from the first one that could take away the powers from - the magic powers. Could he be used to take away Scarlet's powers?"
Assuming you're talking about the mid-credit scene:
According to the Ancient One (Previous Sorcerer Supreme), Eldtritch Magic - the mystic art that her, Wong, Mordo & Dr. Strange use - allows them to channel energy drawn from other dimensions of the Multiverse to cast spells and conjure shields or weapons. It doesn't require anything of them other than being a conduit to the energy required to use this magic. Suffice to say, the power (magical energy) is not innately theirs. It's just borrowed.
What Mordo did to Jonathan Pangborn is, he deprived him of the connection he needs to channel energy, preventing him to use magic. Just like what DS and TAO said:
TAO: He channels energy directly into his own body.
DS: He uses magic to work.
    TAO: Constantly
In Wanda' case, it's entirely different, in many ways.
*Wanda is born a witch. Her dormant witch trait must have been awakened by her interaction with the Mind stone, amplifying her innate magical energy in the process. Wanda acts as both a conduit and a battery. Like Dr. Strange and other magic wielders, she can channel energy either from the universe or other universes. But she mostly rely on her own reserve of magical energy.
*Chaos Magic - this is another type of magic that Wanda uses. This is what allows her to rewrite reality based on her desires. In the comics and according to her, this is the first (oldest) and the most powerful form of magic that grants its users the ability to tap into the chaotic forces of the universe, which can then be used to change the natural order of things. She is one of the few and prominent users of this magic, and she uses it mostly for: Reality Warping, reconstructing the very fabric of existence, resurrection of the deceased, etc.
    Conclusion:
Even if Mordo has the ability to take away the powers of other magic users, it's entirely unknown how he would be able to do this to Wanda, who practices different forms of magic. With Chaos Magic, she could just rewrite Mordo's existence, just like what she did to Reed Richards. And also, the fact has been established that her power exceeds that of the Sorcerer Supreme. I don't think he stands a chance against her. Wanda can easily deflect any attack directed to her, by shrouding herself with a barrier to defend herself anytime. She can easily cast so many spells all at once that can be kept running on autopilot.
However, there's also the scene where Wanda was blasted with energy fired from a cannon. But then again, she came out of that unscathed, and she was also unharmed from the punches of America Chavez - punches that ripple and can tear a hole through the fabric of reality.
