Do you have any favorite resources you have used with a 7th greater this year?

My favorite twist on 7th grade for my 2nd oldest was that she wanted a different science other than Marine Biology so we decided that her science would entail her opening up an official baking business. It was the best science choice for her at the time. She loved it. 🌻

We’re going to try reading detective. I still need to get into guest hollow. Love your videos.

I feel like Guest Hollow is best for when you are in the mood to use it to create a really unique plan for your child/children. Not the best if you are looking for simple, just do it curriculum. But it is so much fun. But I definitely have some planning to do with next years curriculum!

@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool I was feeling that. I’m sure the season just hasn’t been the best for our family to go with guest hollow just yet, but it’s totally on my radar.

It’s so interesting how curriculum can go from great to… ok :) We will have a new adventure tomorrow!

Sounds like she had a great year! Not too many hiccups and learning some independant studying skills! That's great for her! I love when my kids come tell me things they are learning too :) It's hard to let go a bit when you're use to teaching group subjects a lot. It's a balance. I have an upcoming 9th and 11th grader, and I still have chosen to do one subject with each of them just to keep our relationship aspect of homeschooling alive :)

This is definitely my child who really wants to do everything on her own. And she is totally capable of it, but I’m not letting go yet! Lol

We found math videos didn’t work well for us but my kids got some bits from TGTB math videos!!! I thought they were getting it till later on when we saw gaps!!! I doubt we would use thinkwell math then!!! We find we see mastery then have to go back to some math concepts!!! My older daughter just overwhelmed the writing and said she prefers sitting in with her brothers class!!! She said they use writing by numbers!!! We love the exploring the world of … books!!! My older daughter is obsessed with Japan so she’s doing extra geography and history eben tho she didn’t want to learn the history and notebooking Ammie style!!! We can’t do 4 days of art but I think my older daughter makes ammie comics on her iPad more often!!!

I know! I always want math videos to work for us, but they don't always ;) Exploring the world of... books are so fun, love them! What a fun idea, Anime style notebooking for Japan... !

Our family loves Guest Hollow! It has all the extras that I felt Bookshark and Sonlight were missing. Also, all their book choices are excellent.
