yo guys, tell me please what happened to 4 story? I remember doing the same things this dude did in the video, taking the monster near the village and having fun and then everything changed, the monsters, the village etc... what actually happened??
Amazing memories. A little story: When I was about 11 I started playing the game. Had a mission that wanted me to a specific enemy. ( Don't remember the name of the enemy I just remember they were red so will call them reds) I was stuck on this mission for days till I messaged another player that was in cool gold and white armour and asked him: " u kno where red?" Without saying a word, he stood completely still and stared at me for what felt like a long time. Untill suddenly he turned and began walking away, you could think that he just ignored me but I just decided to follow him. He went on farming monsters for atleast an hour and I just kept following him around, amazed at how strong he was. Then we went on a long journey untill we stopped next to low level monsters, different from the high level ones he has been killing, I started killing the low levels and came to realize that they are the reds after finishing my mission he logged off and so did I. Next day I logged in and went to the place where the reds spawn and found him standing there, after seeing me he began to walk and I followed him; killing monsters and leveling. For the next month whenever I log on I would go to the red's spawn and find him there waiting for me. Until one day I went and he wasn't there, I waited for hour but he didn't show up after that ever. We never got in a party or sent eachother friend requests I didn't even know about such things. I like to believe he went on to help people in life. Wish to meet him again.

minitos1 Yeah. Visual updates should come fast. that didnt even change all these years. UI should not be changed or give us the option to go back. And Items updates should go really relaly slow. I mean guys with +24 had to go back to Overpaying to have 28 again that will not happen. if they are not super rich
Yeah 4Ancient is a really good server, though I think its better suited for eu players because of the massive german/polish playerbase EDIT: It also isnt really pay2win so you dont have to spend money to be good
OMGGGG THE FEELS WHYYY! I was so young when I played this, and i was so lost but that's what I loved! It was so epic playing the summoner and getting all the monsters! OH! And buying that armor that is sooooo Good but only lasts a day... And I would go to the other faction with a group of people..... Oh my god this really hurt watching this. I wanted to return, but the starting area! WTF!?! And when I got back they changed areas, quest npcs.... Omg and the armor they wear, the wands, spells. Oh well, good days :')

HOW. everyone i know that played 4story went to play league. me too. i think its just because of the pvp there was in 4story there isn't anything else that comes close to that so we went to league where you basically pvp all the time
Zheng 4story will never be as good the versions we played before they added gor. you can't pvp all the time if you want because the biggest cockblock of this game is the money you have to spend to be able to do ANYTHING pvp wise in an endgame scenario. i know 4story duels are more interesting ( i think its just because of the pvp there was in 4story there isn't anything else that comes close to that ) frm my last comment. they are funny of course if your equip is good enough, otherwise there's nothing funny about reaching endgame without being able to pvp because of money. 4story is always the same too, same pvp areas and nothing really changes because you probably wont visit the older areas anyway after reaching the endgame
I feel like I would do anything to be able to play the old 4Story again, the way it used to be. I mean, there are private servers which are exactly like the old game, but there are no players :(
😔 I know how it feels... I remember playing this game with all of my friends when we were 10 years old and the servers were all swarming with players. And the community was great too. We always met higher lvl players who helped us lvl up and became friends with some of them. Sometimes all I want is to just go back in time for a single day and play this game

Its a shame really, The old 4story was awesome, Wished I had not stopped playing it, Level 25 warrior, had the best gear and sword for my class. Then they deleted my character, when I cam back about 3 days ago....
I played gates of andaron back in 2009 ! back then it was a very traditional game. I mean weapon, gears, etc was rare! not many pvp stuff! now the game is fucked up with hacker, cheater! I don't play it anymore since 2011 because of the new version I can't not play! it has been 3 years I look back at it ! Miss the Old time!

Even though yes, the game is basically a copy of WoW and FFX for free, it just had it's charm, and still has, imo, but the fall over the years is just very much there, cuz hey ... Gameforge being Gameforge. It's a love/hate relationship, cuz as much as I despise the current state, I will still have this game in my heart as the place I spent my childhood in and met some lifetime friends over 10 years back.

I would love 4story to bring some of the old stuff, so heres the list of what they ruined: Appear class sign and not the player face and the left side of mana/health bars Add to many levels Summoners no longer have a permenent pet by their side New ugly XP bar All skills at lvl 1 (like wtf) To much broken weapons u can get from PVP Soundtracks new area where u start like u were a pandarean from WoW and then pick your faction Have the 2 types of armor unlocked at lvl 1 Boring events Lvl 80 bosses at lvl 20 ares (like zeplin), it was so much fun to be lvl 20 and try to kill it with your friends New quests: all about repeting to kill the same exact mobs Laggy battleground (made normal PVP outside battles no longer exist that frequante) Picking a chacter menu, so ugly now Channels, all the same.. old dances Plz, I sent this to 4story like I did, more messages higher chance of them watching and bring old 4story..
I mostly miss the old upgrade levels, when the game didn't have 28(!) levels. The summoner rework actually makes sense though. He is completely underpowered, if he doesn't summon his divine creatures. So, the rework actually makes the partner more viable. The Zeplin was sick. Don't know why the developers removed it, probably thought we were too incompetent to use a potion.
I remember playing this game with my cousin at my cousins house with our own computers together. It was so much fun. Remembering on the lvl 30 war zone map where we both just slayed the Derions and got LOTS of points for it. Now the game is dead, but memories of the game are still alive and will be for me

The best thing about this is since my parents won't let me play wow, this is totally free and downloadable without my parents knowing onto my laptop. They are so overprotective, they won't let me play ANY MMORPGs. It's ridiculous! So, thank you Zemi for making this. :D
cool thing about this game is the pvp system works like the old wow one. Where you get ranks every month (wow was a week) and you can get better gear with better ranks.
LOL REALLY? I remember they used to up the level cap by 10 every year or so. I remember it being 80 then it went to 90. That's ridiculous on their part
When im famous or rich. I need to get a big amount of people on a 4Story P Server ... maybe it relives it for a bit to feel one time the nostalgia I miss. 😢
last i played it, this game was not only fun but the in-game gm help was live, fast and very friendly. and the gm's are not just korean they are all over the world. and believe it or not, they spoke GOOD english, not just some broken garbage you only understand every 3rd word of. its easy to learn and play, graphics are awesome, character movement is very fluid not stiff, and from the beginning you get nice gear, not some boring standard crap even wow and gw2 give you.
Like you said Omer, there isn't many summoners in games. Runescape (P2P only) EverQuest II (have to pay to unlock Conjuror class) and WoW has a summoner too I hear. But yeah, there needs to be more.
@Calistain i think MegaDetH822 meant that the idea for 4story came out first but it took longer to make into beta. Same thing for IMVU, it took so long but they had the idea. And no one copied. Games like these are so fun, that WOW came out, but they came out faster. So WOW did not copy off of this. and 4story did not copy off of WOW. I mean there are so many games with the genre. And some of them were inspired by 4story or WOW. :)
i found it hilarious when you notice the weird noise ( dying goat i think ), i haven't played this game in 5 years and it's actually the first Mmo i ever played, i loved it until all of my friends started to leave and the whole game became pay2win, there no way you can even survive in pve without spending actual cash, but i had some good times that i will never forget
@KingLayon ... I dont like to talk about WoW. But there is 1 thing I know and that is that WoW made the graphics look like WC3, so it will match and such.
@ClassnathanRs Not quite. This is large genre, and I would say most mmorpgs of the hack and slash variety are based around this build. It's hard to say EVE Online is a "WoW clone" for example, though it is an mmorpg. Parallel Kingdom is also unique. Ace Online is another you can't throw into that loop. I could probably name a few others, but I am sure you understand... not all MMORPGs follow this gameplay style (most do, I agree with that).

A little story:
When I was about 11 I started playing the game.
Had a mission that wanted me to a specific enemy. ( Don't remember the name of the enemy I just remember they were red so will call them reds)

Plz, I sent this to 4story like I did, more messages higher chance of them watching and bring old 4story..
I mostly miss the old upgrade levels, when the game didn't have 28(!) levels.
The summoner rework actually makes sense though. He is completely underpowered, if he doesn't summon his divine creatures. So, the rework actually makes the partner more viable.
The Zeplin was sick. Don't know why the developers removed it, probably thought we were too incompetent to use a potion.

I remember playing this game with my cousin at my cousins house with our own computers together. It was so much fun. Remembering on the lvl 30 war zone map where we both just slayed the Derions and got LOTS of points for it. Now the game is dead, but memories of the game are still alive and will be for me

@ChoCoLatte1205 No,Assassin's Prefer hidden strikes while Warrios Face their targets,so that means Warriors means u will attack enemies directly,while Assassin will attack them from behind,or will first hide and then attack.

Well its good that 4ancient exists , its the only thing closest that brings back those memories... God I would kill for a new release of 4story same graphics and everything just better optimised and on steam with 1 europe and 1 america server
The best thing about this is since my parents won't let me play wow, this is totally free and downloadable without my parents knowing onto my laptop. They are so overprotective, they won't let me play ANY MMORPGs. It's ridiculous! So, thank you Zemi for making this. :D

cool thing about this game is the pvp system works like the old wow one. Where you get ranks every month (wow was a week) and you can get better gear with better ranks.

Omer you can choose your gender by clicking the gender pictures on the left side of the hair/etc customization.
WoW did not invent item linking. You were able to do that in EQ1, not on the first release but it was later implemented. Pre WoW anyways.

last i played it, this game was not only fun but the in-game gm help was live, fast and very friendly. and the gm's are not just korean they are all over the world. and believe it or not, they spoke GOOD english, not just some broken garbage you only understand every 3rd word of. its easy to learn and play, graphics are awesome, character movement is very fluid not stiff, and from the beginning you get nice gear, not some boring standard crap even wow and gw2 give you.

Like you said Omer, there isn't many summoners in games. Runescape (P2P only) EverQuest II (have to pay to unlock Conjuror class) and WoW has a summoner too I hear. But yeah, there needs to be more.

@Calistain i think MegaDetH822 meant that the idea for 4story came out first but it took longer to make into beta. Same thing for IMVU, it took so long but they had the idea. And no one copied. Games like these are so fun, that WOW came out, but they came out faster. So WOW did not copy off of this. and 4story did not copy off of WOW. I mean there are so many games with the genre. And some of them were inspired by 4story or WOW. :)
i found it hilarious when you notice the weird noise ( dying goat i think ), i haven't played this game in 5 years and it's actually the first Mmo i ever played, i loved it until all of my friends started to leave and the whole game became pay2win, there no way you can even survive in pve without spending actual cash, but i had some good times that i will never forget
the tutorial npc´s are huge cuz they are the 6 six gods of Iberia (the planet in general)... there is one for each class

@ClassnathanRs Not quite. This is large genre, and I would say most mmorpgs of the hack and slash variety are based around this build. It's hard to say EVE Online is a "WoW clone" for example, though it is an mmorpg. Parallel Kingdom is also unique. Ace Online is another you can't throw into that loop. I could probably name a few others, but I am sure you understand... not all MMORPGs follow this gameplay style (most do, I agree with that).
