Fly Like a Bird" was released in 2005 for Mariah's album, The Emancipation of Mimi. It was a redemption album for Mariah because people were saying she cannot belt anymore. Mariah herself helped in the arrangement to make it really difficult.
The song is actually a gospel song and Jesus' name was recited a few times in the song.
My gosh I have been watching fly like a bird reactions from different reactors for over a week now...I can't help it..I need to watch their reaction since mori is an amazing artist.

Hi Lisa, take what I say with a grain of salt. I am an obsessed fan. I can understand why u were not completely impressed with the first performance u saw. (I think with Ryan??) But in her defense, doing a duet of Chandelier with a 15 year old boy live imo is not easy. Morissette is my favorite/singer- performer in the world. And imo one of the most versatile. I could write a 5000-word dissertation as to why, but I won’t bore you. I would just say 1) I am an old white Dude from Orange County Ca that happened to c a video with a 107 million views and clicked on it 8 months ago. She continues to impress me every day with her world-class vocals, incredible stage presence and being a classy and humble human being ......2) she can sing any song in any genre form Gospel to Motown to rock, country and Pop and everything in between. I won’t get all into her vocal prowess, techniques and style ......but I will link some of my favorite performance from each genre and hopefully u might find something of interest......Have a great day.
