It sucks not feeling safe on your own college campus so this song really means a lot to me and I'm so glad it touched you. It was completely robbed for the Oscar this year. If you get a chance (you don't need to react to it) you should watch the performance at the Oscars. Lady Gaga had a group of sexual assault survivors come on stage with her. Lady Gaga is a survivor herself so this song is incredibly meaningful to her as well. Rant over. Have a great day and thank you again!!
The pain, guilt, fear, blame & hurt of a sexual assault is unbelievably difficult to live through! Anyone who has ever been through the terrible feelings of sexual assault will live with it forever! It's a harsh & cruel way to discrete someone's being! Unfortunately I do know from my own experiences. I too have suffered from this violation of self! It's something you can never fix, get back, change or even except! Some people shut down, some push through & maybe pretend it didn't happen, some become wide open sexually & some can't even be touched by a loved 1 without a quiver because of what has happened to them! Best to all.

Great reaction. What an amazing emotional song from Lady Gaga. As a heterosexual male myself I truly have a burning hatred for rapists and sexual assaulters whether it happens to a female, or an intersex person, or a male period. Also whether they are bisexual, or heterosexual, or homosexual at the end of the day no means no because I find it so disgusting and evil how humans can just rape someone for no apparent reason. I understand as human beings we love having sex but in the same time it must be consensual. If a male rapes an innocent female he should be punished immediately and if a female falsely accuses an innocent male of rape then she should be punished as well because rape is obviously not a joke. It does not matter whether they are attractive, or they are drunk with alcohol, or high on drugs, or how horny you are, or if they have a medical issue, and if they are wearing lesser clothes it is absolutely sinister. There is no excuse for that type of behaviour because it is a crime. We all need to have self-control and self-discipline. To all my fellow human brothers and sisters around the world always remember be genuine & take care of one another.

Has sexual assault Survivor it’s like been shot over and over again reliving same events and mined losing all hope feeling wanted or loved and having trouble trying to Connect with people and relationships. Not speaking for everyone but that how it was for me. Develops an eating disorder and tried to kill my self 5 times and it never goes away it’s like a death sentence but the worse thing was not the fact got sexually assaulted it’s when I told people they said men can’t get sexually assaulted it hurt like hell said it’s all my fault it fucks you up so bad. Can’t get over it like a scar can’t get rid of. That’s why should be more extreme punishments for sexually assault
