Another confidence boost that works for me: scan body literally head to toe for un managed needs. Meaning, do you have a headache, is your back tired, did you drink water today, is it snack time, and so on. A lot of times I’ve been so depleted of everything and felt legit depressed, took an Advil and felt like a new person. Not saying to go ham on Advil, but I think ignoring my need in favor of everyone else’s has sometimes sent a subconscious signal that I’m worth less, so this helps me. Hope this makes sense 😂

The color thing is so true! In the past I’ve bought clothes that were for an ideal pastel-wearing self. But I never felt that comfortable in them or felt that they were very flattering on me. I realized, I like wearing black in the winter, sometimes green too, and neutrals during the summer. They’re flattering, I don’t have to think about my outfits too much, and I don’t feel self conscious. Sometimes I’ll still add baby blue, green or purple, but in comfortable doses haha!
My favorite purchases recently has been my white aritzia tube top and some vintage inspired flare jeans from gap! The combo is so cute! I’ve been working out regularly for 2 years now and im excited to wear tops that show off my back since I’ve gained muscle there. I was trying on tops at lululemon and my super fit husband was even impressed with how my back looks now 😂
