Old Oak Common Depot Closure & Demolition Of Old Rail Track Sheds For New HS2 - 2014 - GWR - Part 01

This is a video I shot while working at Old Oak Common Rail Depot operating a "Cherry Picker " (MEWP) (Scissor Lift) (Platform Lift), after the closure of the depot and during the demolition of the old Rail Track sheds to make way for the new HS2 project - Filmed on my iPhone 3S / iPhone 4S (?) back in 2014 - This was a Great Western Railway's (GWR) site, which was being demolished by Squibb Group.

For those who are really interested in the history of the Old Oka Common rail site and would like further information, I have found an excellent online PDF document called “Old Oak Common Worksites Archaeological Detailed Desk Based Assessment” it is hosted on the Crossrail Learning Legacy. It has some great old maps, layouts and images etc. The numbers that are used in my videos are in relation to this document. The coaching shed, on the other side of the depot near the GW running lines, was the first building to be erected on the Old Oak Common site, The maintenance buildings, including this one in this video, came slightly later. Great western Railway, back in the very early 1900's was short of coach storage space so they rented, from the Church of England, the land at Old Oak Common so to initially build this coaching shed. Being short too of a servicing and maintenance facility, close to Paddington, then decided to expand their maintenance operations by then building, first, a loco shop then later a coach repair shed.

Actually pretty interesting documentation,
If i had to give you some constructive critisism put make your subs a readable size & overlay them on video
Compress your audio, the cutting is very loud. Push it down a bit and it should be fine
