I will also be leaving China after 7 years. It’s a crazy journey we have all been on pre-covid and post covid. So many life long friendships created here. Both grateful for the opportunity to be here and the adventure to come.

I left in May last year after 5 years in China too. It was a relief. I'm now in Africa for a new journey.
Why was It a relief?
@@abel82 The daily covid tests, the last minute changes to the covid tests, waiting for results as you needed the results to go into the supermarket or on the train. The fear and anxiety that they would move everyone out of the apartment building to an undisclosed location, with very little food, no outside communication, and for as long as they decide... the list is endless, so it was a relief.

Watching you everyday on TH-cam you was such a brave , soft, intelligent, beautiful soul 😢but I feel like the way you show China with love ❤ wasn’t the way the Chinese people welcomed you and shame on them for not recognizing a soul like yours I am not saying all the Chinese people was not welcoming but I feel like most of the Chinese community don’t welcome black people 🥹 but with sadness I am still gonna keep up with you in your journey ❤ I believe in you you such a light and from the bottom of my heart you are gold and you go girl 😊🙏 love you ❤May God be with you along the way
Please try applying in Canada or Australia. You can make a good living in those countries. There are alot of job opportunities there.

I was in China for almost 9years for school too. China isn’t welcoming to immigrant and that’s bad caused I loved it there even though it is polluted as hell. I wish you the best Sami. You can come to New Zealand 😁☺️
Africa need you to come back and use your skills /knowledge to take advantage of the vast opportunity within your country to help your people.
Other Non Africans are taking advantage of it.

You must have lived in China in the 60s. China is no longer polluted.

I also left in 2022 after 4 1/2 years and really missing living in China. But it's true, after COVID broke out, nothing seemed the same anymore. I am however praying about going back again. China will always be a part of my life.
One chapter closes and another opens. Thank you for sharing your journey in China with us and hope you take more positives & wonderful memories with you than the bad ones. It's been a tough year, difficult decisions had to be made for the country whether it was considered good or bad. I saw a couple of videos of people of color who are leaving. Living in China must be depressing nowadays. Especially with their strict regulations and not so open-minded culture. However, you are so brave step out of your comfort zone and build a foundation in such a not-so-easy country.
You are a young, educated and talented young woman, and I do believe that there is a greater future for you ahead elsewhere. I’m happy that you’ve decided to spread your wings. I would suggest to try European countries like Portugal, Spain, Netherlands (where I live), Germany, Belgium, Italy etc. I live in Europe and it’s so easy and cheap to travel to other countries in the world. People only show what they want you to see online. I’ve had friends who studied and lived in China. Life is tough out there for colored people! Have you seen hoe Africans are being treated there? In China there is no freedom of speech. Dare to say something negative against the government there. Most things are restricted. All the people I know left China. Not because of visa, but because of life (mental health and happiness). Yes, people party, yes it’s a nice and advanced country, but behind the scenes is a dark, cold and lonely life. Life is more than party, shopping etc

I left Korea two months back and I still hv so many mixed emotions about it . I knew it was time to leave and explore something new but it also hurt leaving everyone I had grown close to.

I left China few months ago, happy I left. Been there for 5years was worth it though. But really the China I got in to 2k17 wasn't the same in 2k22. I miss it a little, but had to leave.
