AUTOMATED ASSESSMENT IN ELT

Day by day the role of technology in assessment in ELT is increasing. In this video, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aysel Sarıcaoğlu exemplifies the pedagogical use of different technological applications such as Grammarly, Google Translate, and ChatGPT for formative and/or summative assessment. She also shares relevant research findings for those practices. Highlighting the need for a bridge between research and practice, she aims to help English language teachers make informed decisions about technology-based assessment in ELT.
