Meredith, these commercials aired when I was almost 19 months old. It was just after Thanksgiving 1979. I may've seen the Milk Mate chocolate syrup commercial, but I was too young for remembering it. The syrup came in the round squeeze bottles.

I remember the 1970's well.... The first part I was a kid but by the middle of the '70 I was a teenager and in high school, I miss those days. Love from Marysville California

Can you imagine going back to a time like this when there were so few problems in the world and every concept had a rock solid and clear definition? Seems like another world now.

There were a LOT of problems in the world. Through which filter are you looking?

Yeah I totally agree with you, it was probably the best time in my life growing up back then. And yes there was problems in the world but it wasn't in our faces every two minutes like today. Still I would go back in a heartbeat, someone invent a time machine I'm all in.🚀

@@jasonbeard4713, I liken nostalgia to a funhouse mirror. Our perceptions of the past don’t necessarily match the reality.

I don’t remember Birth of the Beatles; you never even hear of this film anywhere, which makes me wonder how bad it may have been?

14:23 Whose voice is this? She did a lot of voice-overs in the 70s/80s.
5:08 Sounds like Florence Warner on the Pizza Hut jingle.
5:22 Michael Bell is a great voice-over talent.
10:10 George Coe on the VO for Toyota.

17:18 Smokey and the Bandit II brought me here. This was the car Burt Reynolds's character drove in that great sequel.
