Goon grease has more wax so it performs slightly more like a heavy. it is not a heavy, but it is less greasy and has more hold. the medium is nice and slick, has a great scent, and great shine. the goon grease has a good "old spice" kind of scent, firm hold, and decent shine. I prefer the medium, but find myself using the goon grease more often. The medium is a great pomade, but i think the goon grease is functionally a better pomade.

I would say Cut Throat medium hold as its a bit on the lighter side of a medium and the build up is good, although if your not really into cologne scents it may be annoying as it is pretty strong and you can smell it through the day also has pretty good shine for a medium.
I try not to be biased i think homebrewer's have good pomades out but i also think some of the big companies have good pomades that maybe got over looked in this day of homebrewers kind of ruling right now

IMO Homebrewer pomades (lockhart, pomps not dead, o'douds, etc) are good bro. try more homebrewer pomade, it won't be dissapointed!
