Title: The Keys Of Deliverance
Text: Matthew 16:19, Obadiah 1:17 (KJV)
Beloved, this message is specifically for those who say, "Lord, thank you for how far you've brought me," but deep down, there's a sense of dissatisfaction.
(Acts 12:6) In this scripture, we see Peter, who preached the gospel and led 3,000 people to Christ, the same one chosen as a pioneer in his time. Yet, we see this great Peter bound in chains. As believers, we are glorious in what God has called us to be, but there are times and seasons where we feel limited and contained. This is an illustration of the gospel that there are times we may experience a regression in our career or ministry. We will learn from Peter's story how to break barriers.
Three things to note from Peter's story:
1. Peter was asleep between two guards. (The guards represented barriers. Slumber represents spiritual lethargy.)
2. He was bound by two chains.
3. There were keepers at the gate.
SLUMBER: Your eyes are closed when in slumber, but it is God's desire that our eyes are open to see what He sees. Beloved, we are a reflection of our most dominant thoughts. It is God's desire that despite what we face on earth, our eyes may be opened to see what He sees.
(Genesis 13:14-15) The Lord told Abraham to look from the place where he was, despite his circumstances not being favourable. Beloved, God wants us to look up and see as He sees. God said to Abraham, "First, lift up your eyes. Secondly, look from the place where you are." The enemy traps us to look at the place where we are, leading us to depression, and our faith becomes compromised. Thirdly, God said, "As far as your eyes can see, I will give it to you." It is God's desire that even though our circumstances are not favourable, we must look from where we are forward.
(Numbers 13:33) Two people can have the same experience but see something different in their minds and interpretation. Two spies saw differently, as God sees, that the Promised Land can be taken. Beloved, you must begin to see as God sees. Caleb and Joshua saw the giants as conquerable, but the other 10 spies saw themselves as grasshoppers compared to the giants.
Beloved, what do you see?
Beloved, when we look at the things that are unseen, we will be amazed at the opportunities available to us.
(Genesis 21:19) We can be in a desert experience and have an oasis nearby, yet not know it. Hagar and Ishmael would have died without knowing there was a water supply nearby.
(Ephesians 1:18) Paul prayed that the Lord would open the eyes of our understanding, that we may know the hope of His glory and the riches of the inheritance of the saints.
Prayer: "Open my eyes, Lord!"
How do we see?
(Psalm 109:130) We see through the Word. If one word enters us, it changes everything. Merely knowing the Word is not enough; it must enter us. The hearing of the Word brings faith, but it's the entrance of the Word that brings light. Beloved, darkness is a system of containment that binds and terrorizes people, but when LIGHT comes, there is LIBERTY! Meditate on the Word until light breaks out. Continually meditate on the Word until it enters and breaks forth within you.
To see beyond the physical, we must:
1. Know the prophetic principles attached to the Word. Everything we confess has principles or instructions for the Word to profit us. When we want to break forth, it goes beyond confessing it.
1. (Isaiah 54:2-3) Enlarge your belief system for what God can do in your life; enlarge your capacity and understanding. It starts in your mind.
2. Stretch forth your habitation, which means stepping out of your comfort zones. You must step out and ask, and God will carry you.
3. Lengthen your cords, which means increasing your competency and skill set.
4. Lengthen your stakes, which means strengthening your foundation.
Find the prophetic Word and the instructions that follow. Continue and not give up until your change comes. People may laugh at the process, but keep at it, and it will manifest.
How do we see?
1. We see through the Word. (Psalm 109:130)
2. Find the prophetic Word and the instructions that follow.
By the blood, my head is lifted out of every accusation.
By the blood, I am brought out of every pit.
My horn is exalted like the horn of the unicorn.
I silence every curse, accusation, and judgment by the blood.
Keys of Deliverance:
1. The Word
2. The Spirit
3. The Blood
