The night time photography was awesome. Defo going to give that coffee a try for my trip to the mor next week. thanks for the new content.
Cheers Mark. Much appreciated 🙏glad you enjoyed it and yes the coffee is really good. Best I've had camping so far 👍
The espresso looked amazing. I am one of the 3 people that hasn't seen them!
😂 glad I found you and reached out. You don't know what your missing. Can you get them where you are?
@@NoviceWildCamper ilk have to do some research!
Great to see a camp again! Personally I wouldn't worry about being in a spot you shouldn't camp at, all the rest of us away from Dartmoor have to do that anyway! Looked a top camp pal, see you soon!
Thanks Dan. It was a lovely spot and so peaceful too. Thanks for watching 👍
Awesome vid lovely!! I will definitely be checking out that area for a camp at some point! Good to see you back and enjoying it!
Oh and the rocks on that Tor looked like a vienetta!!! 😂 take care! K x
🤣 now you mention it.... and I love vienetta 😂
@@NoviceWildCamper me too!!!!! Such an 80s thing 😂
Ansum video meht! You're right, that coffee does look pretty good. Much better than the Nescafe 3in1's I've been using lately. Great spot too and I love your honesty regarding whether or not it was a permissible camp area. We all make mistakes buddy. Thanks for sharing the adventure!
Thanks buddy. Its going to be my go to coffee from now on 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper just gotta go find me some now……. 🙄
Tesco do them or you can order online 👍
Cracking vid again, I like to no whats inside that hut lol I've got a homemade pot stand/windshield to test next camp atb nick
Looking forward to seeing that nick 👍cheers buddy.
Awesome Michael. Enjoyed that mate. I will try that coffee. Your camp was a stunning location. Love listening to the water at night.cant remember if you told me about the pump. But damn buying something you don't want. Looking forward to more from you. Keep them coming buddy 👍
Cheers dai. You need to get out of Wales and try the south west 🤣👍 and defo try that coffee
Stunning scenery there Michael. Enjoys this one mate 👍 think us Welsh lads need a jolly boys outing there 😬
You're all welcome to come on down guys. I've done brecon, your turn now 🤣 thanks for watching 👍
Truly an enjoyable video, very relaxing and as far as I could see you had all that space to yourself 👍
I can only imagine how relaxing that camp was it beats the back garden 👌
I look forward to your next adventure atb Taff 🤠👊
Cheers taff. I thought the vid might be boring as nothing much happened but I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for watching 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper If you think yours was boring check out my latest one. It is a garden camp that didn't quite go plan lol.
Nice cheeky wee camp there pal, I was out last weekend and had the same breakfast, nice and sweet, alot better than I was expecting tbh I also had alot of moisture on the tent, guess it's the time of year 🤣🤣🤣 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Cheers Paul. Yeah I was well surprised with the breakfast. Would defo have it again 👍
Quality video man enjoyed it, looked like a mint place for a wildcamp 👌 all the best Chris 👍

Thanks guys much appreciated 🙏👍
Good one. Lesson learnt on buying that pump. I might get one of your tables. ATB
I just put two up but sold straight away. I'm away for a few days with work so can't make any more till next week but I will post on Facebook when they are up again. Might be putting that pump on ebay too 😂
Love it ❤️ Great film again! I’m hoping for camping kit for furthers day too 🤣👍
🤣 yeah I keep dropping hints but think they're being missed 😂
A nice location that seems. Interesting rocks and camping availability. I too have this shelter and have not had a dry night inside yet. I favour the color but will be using my SMD instead with less condensation.
Im looking at getting a 3 season inner too
Great video, I enjoyed watching this. I might have to give the coffee pods a go, I’ve been using coffee bags recently which hold a nice flavour. ATB xx
Thanks Rachel. Yes I normally use the coffee bags which I find ok, but these pods are great if you like a frothy coffee. My expensive home machine featured in my espresso vid is on the blink so I'm using these pods at home now too 😂 thanks for watching 🙏👍
At least you didn't had to blow air into you mattress yourself! Just maybe a little bit! 😁 how much weight does your table hold? I mean, can you also use it to sit on? Great trip! ATB Kaat
Hi Kaat. I've tested the table to 5kg but couldn't physically fit anything else in it so it might take more. You could use it to sit on if it was folded flat but definitely not open 😂 although it may bend or crease it if not in perfectly flat ground. I have a tiny lightweight sit may that weighs nothing if needed. Thanks for watching 👍🙏
@@NoviceWildCamper I sure weigh more then 5kg... 😂 Let me know if you have you're tables again. They sure are cute. Do you put your logo on, or is another logo possible upon request? A personal one for example... ATB
@@StepsbyKaatje I'll have some more on ebay next week. I'll post on Facebook when they're up if you check on there. Message me direct and I'll let you know. I can put my logo on or leave it blank for you to put yours on. Thanks 🙏
I do believe it's called the Irishman's wall because the Irish built it by day and the villages paid them to knock it down at night due to a land despute
Oh cool. So they got paid twice, not so dim eh? 🤣 thanks for watching 🙏
@@NoviceWildCamper I'm pretty sure that's the story to it. Will have to check my book when I get home 🙂
Re basically an Irishman and some of his countrymen probs Irish labourers tried to enclose the Belstone area by building the wall from cullever steps over Belstone to the river Taw. There was a lot of land grabbing at this time as dartmoor expanded for farming.
Anyway the villagers of Belstone and Okehampton took umbrage and one night took down the wall when it was very near completion . And basically has stayed like it ever since.
Well I didn't know that flexatail sold a non chargeable pump. Strange that and an easy mistake to make if you didn't know.
Yes specially when they advertised it as a USB charging pump. Typical Chinese translations 🤣
You should work at Starbucks🤣Brilliant video buddy you just sitting at the side of the stream looked heaven and the views were awesome love the Laan Shan 💚
Ah cheers mate. Glad you stayed awake through it 😂 even I thought it was a quiet uneventful video 🤣👍
Another great video! No-one seems to know what that building is? Perhaps something to do with the Army? Also, I saw you mention your sleeping bag in one video. Any recommendations for a lightweight sleeping bag for a fellow tall person? :-)
Thanks buddy. If its a winter one I'd recommend mine which is the vango vulcan -12. My summer one is the OEX EV300 but I'm thinking of changing to a quilt but I fit in both at 6'4 👍 atb 🙏
@@NoviceWildCamper Thanks man - will check them out :-)
Enjoyed that one too. I’ve probably now spent too much time watching all your stuff … couple of thoughts …
1. Do you sell or send the table to France ?
2. If you ever fancy a trip to SW France around the Massif Central, drop me a message and I’ll host mate. We run a open canoe outfitter business here so I spend most of the season out and about across the whole Massif and think you’d like it here. Just take it as a thanks for the work on the videos.
Take care
Hi Mark. Thanks for the offer. Sounds awesome and if im ever that way I'll definitely take you up on it. Struggle with family holidays though.
I don't see a reason why you can't order the table to be sent to France. If you contact col from outdoorgearessentials.co.uk and tell him I sent you he'll get you a price I'm sure. 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper cheers mate
I’ll give it a go and use a fall back of waiting for someone to come here from the U.K. end of canoe season now so onto the last trips till next year though.
You’d be very welcome and you don’t have to be stuck with me in tow, just thought it’d make a great vid or two and the stars here are all of Dartmoor and more believe me.
I could even drop you into an open boat fro a trip if you fancied it.
Cheers
Might have to take a look next year. You have a website? Which table are you after anyway? Black white or camo?
great vid man just subbed.
Thanks buddy. Glad you liked it 👍
Another amazing video!, I'm planning my trip for second week in Oct, I want to take a dip in cullever steps pool then camp near by, so up there looks ideal, I will be a happy man, p.s what month did you visit here
Perfect for it. Cold in October though 🤣😬
@@NoviceWildCamper cold for Dartmoor or the water, I'm guessing both
Both 🤣
@@NoviceWildCamper lol thought so, on my first ever wildcamp to Dartmoor I arrived too late and was not much light left, bad weather just came in and had to walk to black tor from meldon, took the longest route following the river, then up, got soaking wet, didn't take spare clothes!, it was really windy up there and thought my tent wouldn't make it through the night, that's when it dawned on me that I could be in trouble, a friend dropped me off and would return 2 days later so had no car, luckily it was o.k, the next day was beautiful stunning day 20+ degrees and managed to dry my clothes, the rest of the trip was amazing weather and skies, I've learnt a lot from that trip, looking back I was so stupid
Michael, where do you get those foil pouches from? PS - I’m glad I bought my pump from Amazon. I haven’t tested it yet so after watching your video I’m off to check it now! Another cracking vid. Congrats on the subs. Nearly at 1000 already!
Thanks Julia. Reckon your pump will be good and as fb, pouches on ebay or ali express. Thanks for watching atb 🙏👍
Great video, looks like you had a great place to sit and chill out, some great scenery as well. No idea what the hut was, but, makes me think that might have been the weir? Also, is your chair the Helinox chair Zero? Looks very similar to mine, but the foot cups are much better.
I tried to respond to your comments on my video, I could see them in notifications but it would not let me interact with them no idea whats going on there. Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment :) New subscriber here, 1 closer to the big 1k!
Ryan
Cheers Ryan and apologies, only just came across your comment as it was held as possible spam? Odd. Yes it's the helinox zero but I have chair buddies on the feet so stop it sinking. Great British product and light. Hope we can comment on each others now 😂👍 atb and cheers for the sub.
What is the wireless mic that you use?
Love your vids mate 👌
Cheers buddy. Its not wireless, its a boya lavalier mic with 3.5m jack to usbc convertor. Looking at getting the newer boya straight to usbc as there's a little interference. 🙏👍
@@NoviceWildCamper it’s very good sound doesn’t seem to be a lot of interference. Thank you have to look into it heading to Dartmoor in a few weeks want to upgrade our videos lol 🏕
@@brettkalbadogadventures its a good mic. Just a little interference. I'll show when I get the next one 👍 good luck
How is that working for you? Any problems or complaints? Any tips on pitching that you figured out?thanks
Well for me it could do with being another 6 inches longer 😂 but no complaints so far. One thing I would recommend is getting the footprint as this sets out the perfect locations for the pegs for the outer and gives the best pitch. Takes a couple of go's to get it right but once set then that's it. I am going to change the guy out point at the doors as in the standard configuration. Theycome the air vent off too much so will separate them and use bungee cords for the door bottoms maybe with a carabiner. I would also like to try to attach the inner to the outer in a couple of other spots too as it will stop it hanging so loose inside and give a bit more space. Thanks for watching 👍
do you have a grid ref where you camped? thank you.
Hi. 50.712162,-3.963664 is roughly where I camped. Thanks.
@@NoviceWildCamper thank you for the reply, I meant by the river. I will scout it out.
Ah sorry, thought you meant the tor. I don't actually know exactly where I camped tbh but it was just east of the tor.
