The whole comment section is filled with generalized bullshit. If anything one of the worst tiktok trends was when people thought they could overthrow the government in 2020. @@chrislee5485 Alright, I'll bite. Why out of all generations is this the one that parades the stupidity of the modern day youth? It's because of the internet. I'll be honest with you, every generation (mine and yours included) were pretty stupid in their younger years. The only difference is that the internet provides a way to benefit from acting stupid and to a far larger scope than before the days when it was around. It's not that kids are dumb (which, tbh they are, though they eventually grow out of it,) but that the internet has deteriorated their brains and this is the result you see. I'm not even just generalizing, if you want actual proof, there was a study conducted where it showed TikTok has a damaging effect on it's users attention spans
@@Rahnonymous I think your choosing to look at the bad. For every dumb kid trying to make it big off of stupidity there are thousands of other kids calling them out on their behavior and mocking them. Tiktok, at least for me has been a mixed experience because it’s opened my mind to new ideas and encouraged further study on topics I would have never encountered 20 years ago on a regular basis. My friends and I are able to discuss thing that our parents thought where “for grown-ups” when they were our age. On the other hand it’s still tiktok.
@@chrislee5485 That's why I said I wasn't generalizing. All I was saying is that this is the damaging effect giving junior the iPad and letting it parent them for you. I'm sick and tired of seeing it happen over and over again, only to hear second-hand horror stories about how they found out their kid slashed someone's car tires or stole something and they just can't believe their beautiful child would do such a thing. These kids are actual victims because of the parent's ineptitude, and everyone around them are the ones to reap the consequences of negligence and the inability to properly parent their children.
@@Rahnonymous no, I understand your point. My younger sibling was an iPad kid and I can notice significant differences in our approaches to the world and how we treat people.
Having your car window broken is not "just an inconvenience". You have to pay for the repairs, take time off work to get the car to the glass shop, maybe deal with police filling out a report (which you have to if you make an insurance claim). Somewhere along the way, "it's just a prank" changed to mean "I'm doing this for internet points" ... "It's just a Prank" is not an acceptable excuse if the results of the Prank are permanent/cannot be quickly and easily un-done.
Example: If you punch someone in the face, "It's just a prank" is not acceptable, as it does not/cannot un-do the pain upon being said.
example: if you personally coated the amazon rainforests in a napalm white phosphorus combo and ignited it, destroying everything there and causing an untold number of extinctions, and called it a prank

Lol you're right, we did it for fun.. but we also did some utterly stupid shit, looking back. Like pretending to carry a big piece of glass across a busy street, right on the curve, and as cars would approach & slow down - we'd suddenly put our hands in pockets & go to separate sides. Drivers would first be astonished, then kinda pissed. Lol
I'm skeered to admit I live in Petaluma 😭
But all of the abovementioned stuff happened in Eastern Europe (Bosnia).
I'm also for mandatory exams for anyone wanting to have kids! Too damn much sorrow stems from ppl not ready for them yet having them anyway.
@@A_Ducky yo that glass trick is genius. How did you pull that off.

You just coordinate with a friend to pretend-hold "glass" (air) at about the same height. Hands coordination.. it should look natural, as when ppl actually carry a big piece of glass btwn them.
It was hard to keep face serious but we had to. Then midpoint of the street you both drop your hands down and carry on to different sides.. completely unconcerned.
Drivers be like: da fuq, where'd the glass go?! 🧐
But the dumb part is WHERE we did it. It was a street which served as a sort of highway exit. We could have been killed, due to the curve & speed of cars. I'm glad nothing bad happened, and the lulz were worth it, as the rest of my neighborhood kids/teens were ofc watching everything for amusement of all.

This is what happens when a generation of kids parented by their iPads and are desperate to get famous. Common decency and understanding go out the window. God I'm glad my mother called out my stupid behaviours as a kid and actually taught me manners so I didn't turn into one of these degenerates.
The whole comment section is filled with generalized bullshit. If anything one of the worst tiktok trends was when people thought they could overthrow the government in 2020. This isn’t even as popular as it once was. I agree it’s bad, but it’s hard to do that when people say that “x generation” is bad because they want to blame their frustrations on someone.
I wouldn’t call it parading stupidity as much as it is treating foolish people as they are.

Having your car window broken is not "just an inconvenience". You have to pay for the repairs, take time off work to get the car to the glass shop, maybe deal with police filling out a report (which you have to if you make an insurance claim). Only someone with too much money and a very flexible work schedule would call such an even "an inconvenience".
