Excellent model and great flying skills at such a young age. I started with you control when I was 14 but was flying RC by 17 of course that was way before simulators and Buddy boxes and flight stabilization
is that model close to size as the older Top Flight model ? i think im remembering back the .60 - .90 recomended had the 'B' version great flying plane
I miss mine RIP but I have just replaced it with an extremely scale composite the same size. Only issue is it came with zero instructions so it will be a challenge to build. Time will tell.
Putting a new engine in it would be silly considering how it flies now; weight and balance is good, and it is overpowered as it sits now. I would put more load on the engine with a four bladed prop, or cut the engine throttle back to say 85% - scale wise you can make this plane fly better. I would start there with both recommendations before making an engine swap, even if I owned the other engine. You will at square-one with a prop change with an engine swap - try this first with what you have.
Its not over powered. Its powered nicely. But doesnt have the power to do a nicely shaped loop. The 35 isnt that much heavier. And its a RA so i can hide the muffler. I cant stand to see the cowl all hacked up. Its going to fly just fine with the 35 ;) and...using the stick on the left properly...you dont always have to use all the power. As is were flying at wot almost the whole flight
Good looking Mustang - and flown quite well ! I enjoyed how smooth Bentley was with the model - especially the very smooth landings. Good show !
Man Bentley just keeps getting better and better. Solid job of making a Stang look good!
Sure is! And he doesnt even get to fly all that often because of my work schedule :( thabkfully my dad takes him out sometimes while im on travel

With a soft touch like this, Bentley can do my "first flights" anytime. Thank you for sharing. Jim
Great job on the touch and goes, to land a p51 well is an art. Hope you stay in the hobby.

Also to be fair youre talking to a guy who put a 222cc 4 cyl into a 1/5 scale bearcat lololol
Way 😎
maybe .40 - .60 ?? its been for ever like '78 -'79
This would be more like .90 size. Its 71" i believe. For reference the top flite 60 size is 64"
