My favorite quote from him in Fraser is when he sees Daphne and exclaims "Now I'm going to pump some iron. " and Fraser responds "Good God Niles! You don't even pump your own gas!!"
Almost every line in the entire series is solid gold, but none of it is quotable because the situations usually require elaborate setup. Or the lines are more like monologues. Sure the punchline is funny but it takes forever to get there.
I think Hyde Pierce is one of the funniest comedians to have ever existed and I love Frasier, best sitcom with the best cast. So I want to thank everyone in frasier for making my life better, truly better :)
Dang! This was from 2006 and it's the first time I've seen it! What a gem! LOVE David Hyde Pierce! And I still consider the Niles and Daphne romance to be the best ever written (and performed) for television.
There's another one where he does a parody of La Viva Loca by Ricky Martin, also a Just for Laughs. It's on youtube but it's broken up into 2 parts and is rather fuzzy. And yes theirs was the best TV romance. Brilliant acting and writing.
When Cheers was on I watched every episode and over time Frasier became my favorite character because he's the one who made me laugh the hardest. Then when Frasier had his own show, Niles was the one who made me laugh the hardest !
This man is one of the most talented comedic actors on the planet. To think we owe his discovery to the sheer chance that he looked like a young Kelsey Grammer.
After searching for YEARS I finally figured out what that lovely classical piece is: an excerpt from Joseph Haydn's String Quartet F Major, Op.3 Nr.5 :)
I love the toothy, cheek sucking grimace he does when he's being facetious or self-degrading... I wonder if that's a natural expression of his or if he's just slipping bits of his Niles character into the show...
This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen- also performed with great artistry- his changes of mimics, expressions etc, very difficult to do like that. Fantastic!!!
That. Effin'. ROCKED. Go, David! Woo! Oh, man, that was good-that little dance of his was adorable, too, LOVED it. What a talented, brilliant, hilarious man.
he is truly gifted and i am sure whatever he's got going on in his life is working for him! only when a person is being supported, he/she attains the heights!
What an extraordinary talent. One of the best stage actors, comedy actors, comedy writers of his generation. It's a shame that he can never quite get away from Niles in the eyes of the public.
I love this guy. Very talented, sofisticated, naturally funny and puts people at ease. His talk is so clear and polite. I miss politeness nowadays very much.
DANKESCHÖN!!! He spoke in my language! I never thought I'd see/hear that :D Back2topic: What a great number! And David Hyde Pierce is just wonderful :)
My sister and I were squealing with delight throughout the enitire thing, but I think we broke the sound barrier when he started dancing. :D That boy is mighty fine. ~~~
I love when he goes : "those of you who watch Frasier know Marris is my wife on the show, those of you who don't watch Frasier, I'm not speaking to you.
My favorite quote from him in Fraser is when he sees Daphne and exclaims "Now I'm going to pump some iron. " and Fraser responds "Good God Niles! You don't even pump your own gas!!"
"I would shave my head for you Niles."
"A gesture which becomes less significant with each passing year."
@@GhostTrainPhoto lol did you really describe Maris in your comment ;) except for cute and funny you are spot on.

+XeveCamp For me it's a shared nr. 1 spot between Frasier and MASH
I watch reruns at least twice a week.
this man is positively charged with talent that could power a nation for months
He is so underrated in comedy!
I don't care if he's just an actor, i need this man as my therapist.
He was actually excellent. Did you see the one where he confronted his childhood bully? Brilliant.
Frasier seeing this.
"Oh dear God, Niles."
Max Frankow or
" Oh, shut up Niles !!"
Niles: you’re one to talk Fraser with that radio show of yours.
Stop it! Your ninny.

Frasier was simply the best writing sitcom ever imo
Actually this is from 1997, not 2006. :-)
There's no way this is from 2006, probably mid 90's.
Yes, how didvthey do it ...and hes gay

I think that's a fantastic idea
He hosted the Emmys before

Holy damn that song and dance was slick as hell! I love this guy...
The crowd adores him! Listen to their reaction to every goddamn line! Amazing set!!
he is brilliant and there will never be a sitcom even half as good as frasier!
I wish he considered standup comedy seriously.
Brilliant performance from MC Crane! . Pierce is one gifted fellow, and that golden voice will look after him well into old age.
From the sophisticated Niles on Frasier to the hip hop stand-up he is truly amazing!!! Way to go David Hyde Pierce!!!

That he joked about being introduced to an attractive woman dates this quite a bit.
My thoughts exactly lol
