- In this case the client ran out of adblue and even after refilling. The car still refused to start until a reset was preformed.
- Select control module #1 engine
- Select long adaptation
- Choose channel #80
- Enter 001, to preform reset
- The Adblue has to be filled 100% for this to work
- After the value changes to 4 the reset is completed

Menú Number 19, no 1 engine. You can access to long adaptación. But i Think that the rest of the vídeo is correct
under version 23 there is no long adaptation, can you make a new video using the latest VCDS software?
2014 Touareg TDI your VCDS won’t have long adaptation, at least mine didn’t. Go into Basic Settings, reset SCR level sensor, and you should be good to go.
Tried setting adblue on a 2018 transporter no long adaption there and no way to reset it.
Buenas tardes para un passat 2013 TDI TENDRÁ ESA INFORMACIÓN ?
Good morning, I need to restart the adblue just like in the video, I have the same version 20.4.2 and I don't have a long adaptation option, only adaptation, and the options it allows are different. Can you tell me what you do to get there? Thank you
I don’t have the Ad blue line , I have same version on VCDS
Why ???
Mine doesn't have long adaptations
Its not working for Audi A6 4G. Do you have the solution?
Thanks for the info
Tanks
Can I still reset after car start turning on due to 0 miles showing of the ad blue but I’ve filled the ad blue tank
Thanks...
You're welcome!
I assume the cheap "Dumb" VCDS cables wont work, will the "lite" version of the software? I'm seeing around $100 from FCP Euro for the proper cable says the software is a free download but they probably mean the free version which I dont think does long adaptations.
I wouldnt bother with the cheap cables. They wont work.
@@GrindinD Thanks, I ended up getting the Ross-Tech off eBay. My local shop reset the ad blue for $35 while I waited for the package, that was good. Had 15 miles left to drive. The issue started with a bad NOX sensor, I replaced that then had to rest.
Don't know what I could possibly be doing wrong, but my new value just keeps giving me 3.
There's another test you can try that involves removing a fuse and cycling your ignition.
@@GrindinD I wasn't aware of it. Did you try it and did it work for you?
@@montystevens1949 if the value doesn't change after the fuse pull ignition cycle method there's something else preventing the vehicle from reseting. The tank must be full.
For my client after I reset his adblue he still couldn't start his car. It turned out that we had air in his injector lines.
@@GrindinD which fuse?
I have NOx senzor 1 problem ? can you help me how to solve it
Hi, any idea why my latest VCDS does not have the long adaptation option - only adaptation?
some older car generations dont allow long adaptation
the scr reset functions have been moved into basic settings in newer versions like in this video th-cam.com/video/39yfIxU9UM8/w-d-xo.html
I just added the ad blue and after a little bit it’s suddenly told me I was 200 miles away from not being able to start the car. And now I can’t start the car. Is there any way of doing this without going to an auto shop?
I'm in the same predicament.
What happened? I'm having the same problem
@@peterovenstone It’s a bullshit setting and error code that needs the dealership to just clear it in five minutes.
That's what I thought but I've been told my whole AdBlue system needs replaced to the cost of £2000.
@@peterovenstone A lot of the TDI’s have extended warranties. You should check it out. A lot of stuff mine was covered.
thanks....
