Pacific Crest, by Robert Sheldon

This joyous new work by Robert Sheldon was commissioned by the Northwestern Bandmasters Association, and enjoys its world premiere this evening. The composer once hiked along the Pacific Crest Trail, and he remembers Mt. Shasta, Mt. Hood and the mountains near Lake Tahoe and Palm Springs. Pacific Crest is inspired by the ridge of mountains and the panoramic views along the trail.
