Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen either Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a co-op commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units use their abilities as directed by a basic AI. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 e-sports. Though this project is a work in progress, and there are errors that will need to be fixed, so point them out if you spot any! The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!

I think a cool idea would be to sometimes instead ask "how many X to kill Y?"
For instance: how many helbats to kill 40 ultralisks?
In that scenario just keep spawning helbats so there is always exactly 100 or something on the map, coming from the same direction and have a counter of how many helbats died and how many in total attacked an ultra.
Roach corpses getting flung in the air is funny. Just imagine seeing a zergling brutally murder a roach and it throws the corpse like 10 meters high, that would be wild
If this series has taught me anything it's that Immortals are absurd.
Well, they are called immortals for a reason
Immortals have great stats, so with less micro of course they beat a lot of things. They're a hard counter to many armored units for a reason.
If it's armored, and it doesn't fly, Immortal counters it, pretty much.
@@MrGeorgeFlorcus is it? i would argue that at certain amounts the siege tank would still beat the immortal

Stalkers to too well in these clips bc they’re the only units that the AI’s micro is good.
On that note, itd be interesting if they could get their hands on deepmind for this. Instead of just having armies smashing into each other thered be some micro beyond human capability that would make it that much cooler to watch!

@@apathicuss7439 Automaton 6000 and micro A.I. are pretty good at that! Unfortunately, their creators have gone silent as far as I know.
I'll admit, I didn't expect the Immortals to come out on top there.

Its more zealots derping with charge and ultras being goody
Immortals are king of ground vs ground as long as their supply is the same.
I think that title belongs to siege tanks

@@ilikekspwaytoomuch4691 Max marines with perfect micro can't take on full supply of Immortals, I've tested.
They lose to both tanks and lurkers in huge supplies. Everything loses to tanks.
@@Flawskiii did you even out the upgrades, tested when equal supply or equal cost? Did you add medevacs? Also you probably didnt perfectly micro them.

Okay this is honestly going to be an interesting one. On paper, this should end in a draw with all units lost, but I do wonder how big of a difference each win would be if the battle was repeated like 10 times or more

Yes!!! Got 'em all right for once. That Ling vs Roach one was silly though.... 600 of them?! Was that outcome ever in doubt?
I was right about everything except zerglings vs roaches, so I'm chuffed.
I got that one right, since roaches are known to not scale well with upgrades as compared to most units. which leads to the question how the same duel would go without any upgrades.

If the roachs burrows when low health, they may win
no, that would guarantee a win as the lings have no detection
Then put 1 overseer.
During his tests, stealth never seems to work. DT and Ghost have lost handily to things that don't even have detection. Like ghosts vs. muta.
@@draegonspawn5361 err... no I watched that video, he disabled the cloaking on the ghosts or never turned it on, as multiplayer ghosts don't get free cloaking like they do in WoL
@tya you should ruin everyone's predictions and engineer a fight where both sides die :) If the marine got off one more hit while the missiles were in the air, it would have been a double KO
The fact that I average maybe 60/40 on these bothers me more than it should.

adept tankier and bonus dmg vs reapers, immortals destroy anything armored for cost, banshee shreds low hp marines, hellbats pathetic against non-light, roach not enough range and dps to stop zerglings.
The music sucks.
