  • Here are the places I visited on my last day in Amsterdam:
*Screaming Beans: I love this cafe. Small neighborhood, small business vibe.
*Van Stapele: The most famous cookie shop that has a long line during the weekends, but the line goes quickly! White chocolate center, chocolate cookies that are freshly baked each day. Not too sweet, just plenty flavorful!
*Pancakes Amsterdam: Although they do sell American pancakes, Dutch pancakes are a must in Amsterdam, of course! Savory pancake is a must.
*De Bijenkorf: An amazing shopping mall for luxury goods, and you can file for tax return easily here! They provide you with necessary receipt and information for you to take to the airport to get stamped and submitted.
*Haring & Zo: Lots of locals casually come by this standing shop for their fix of traditional raw seafood.
*Wynand Fockink Roeflokaal and Spirits: This is a legit distillery recommended to me by a local bartender who was very kind and excited to introduce me to Genever, the Dutch traditional alcohol. The drinks are cheap and they taste nothing like the genever sold in regular shops but so much more fragrant and delicious.
*Petit Restaurant De Rozenboom: Everything about this place screams Dutch. Every tile in their bathroom has drawings of Dutch history, their walls are covered in Dutch traditional tools and art. They sell traditional Dutch food that made me realize Dutch food sold in the states is not real.
*Rene's: 24-hr bakery if you need a fix of sweets after a long night.
