I bought my 359 off a local guy who rebuilds older saws. Went through it and made it like new but put a different muffler on it that didn't choke it out like the stock ones did and it is great, good on fuel and wants to work. The Husky 3 series is great in general. I love it. Light and lots of useable power.

Completely Agree with you buckin, the 500i is an odd saw for me, Ive been following your channel for a few years and I've learned so much. Your knowledge and honesty is awesome ! Ported saws in the UK are really rare. I was at the UK loggers champions last year and had the chance to try a hotsaws101 psykoized 500i that was the only one that ever wowed me ! Instantly cleared out in the smallest of timber / limbs. Enjoyed it so much when I had the chance to buy an MMWS 6100 dolmar I did. Now that is a sweet saw !

I'm not a saw expert but totally agree the sound of the 500i barble to this husky sounds so much cleaner than that.

Billy I just saw you video on your axe dent. It brought back the times I was just like you.
Boy did I cry thinking of the times I was in a spot that I ( by my self ) had to get out and get hrlp after getting out and able to call or just wate for someone to come and get me to hospital. I was out of it for over 9 months. And that was just the last time. People tell me I should write a book. Don't Think So Take Care All

It's amazing how much work and maintenance one has to do to make and keep a Husky work as good as a Stihl. Huskies are ok if all you cut is softwood, but it falls well short of the Stihl once you cut hardwood. Been there, done that.

Buckin I love your videos and been watching for a year now. I’ve learned so much from your videos. Not only about power saws but about life and truly love the message you send in your videos. On another note I’m not a logger or a tree guy but I do know engines to a degree. But every time I listen to a 500i at the top end of the rpm it sounds like it has a rev limiter on it in my honest opinion but I don’t truly know for sure but it sounds like it. Hope get better soon and can’t wait to see that little husky rip some wood soon.

G'day Buckin, I haven't used the 500i so I can't comment on it personally, but listening to your opinion Stihl needs to be informed about this issue of low revs under no load conditions so that the MS501i won't suffer from this and will have instant acceleration at no load and market leading power to weight ratios under maximum load.

Stihl says using 13/64 5.2mm but I've read where 7/32 5.5mm holds better edge and throws bigger chips???? Which one do you prefer on 3/8 chain? Running stihl ms660. Thanks sir and keep them coming!
