Anyway, this song is awesome but really weird, particularly that part before the final chorus. While I usually retain lyrics already in English, I decided to change "Extreme like as Dragon Balls" because... well, it's obvious. So I refer to the Dragon Balls as nightmares in the sense that they are being used to sinister purpose by Freeza.
...Look, it makes sense to me, okay? Also, just in case anyone finds that set of lyrics confusing, the parenthesized lyrics are the chants in the background (for which there was no translation so I just made 'em up) and the un-parenthesized lyrics are the main vocals.

Aw, crap, I just realized that the singer says "I'm freezing your dreams!" at 5:19. I thought he was just making sounds.
Well, since annotations are out (thanks TH-cam), here's my notification of that.

Is this Latin, Japanese, or both? I think I hear both used but in different parts for different verses, but givin I speak neither and couldn't find an answer anywhere else just figured I should ask.
It's also said at 3:15, though it is heavily distorted and background to the music at that point in time.
Anybody else like how the opening to this song portrays Freiza as less of a person and more like a force of nature?

The lyrics at 2:08 allude to it. 'While he lives... a poem of love... is only a chilling elegy.' Which is to say, as long as Frieza lives, the only poems of love that exist are those of loss.

The crazy fight with Frieza where everyone gets nearly butchered is so good.
No other final fight comes this close in terms of portraying sheer hopelessness, as Frieza keeps transforming gaining more insane power.
I would argue the Demon King Piccolo arc also did this. His underlings being able to solo most of the cast, then him himself basically one tapping Goku. Follow that up with Roshi and Chiatzou dying and Piccolo regaining his youth (one of only three canonical villains to use the dragon balls. The other two being Sorbet and Pilaf's gang in Super). Piccolo now even stronger is bent on killing everyone. Yamcha's leg is still broken and can't be fixed. Yajirobe and Korin aren't strong enough. Goku is nearly dead. Tien nearly dies. Nam, Giran, and several other tournament contestants have died basically overnight (a quick reminder that it still took a very long time to travel the world for the Z fighters at this point). Even when Goku gets a power up and fights Piccolo, he almost dies and only wins because Piccolo got cocky and blocked an attack he shouldn't have. While the story arc didn't drag on as long as Frieza's did (cause god, Namek took forever), I think if you watch the series in order, they both create that sense of "how do you even kill this bad guy? or something along the lines of.

i just love the stark contrast of everyone else's insert songs in kai all being fairly upbeat and having silly buttrock lyrics and then frieza's theme being this menacing death metal song that makes him sound like he's the literal devil emerging from his perch in hell to destroy absolutely everything you love just because he feels like it

despite the stupidity of bringing Freeza back, this revived Freeza is to a certain extent less evil than him on Z and Fukkatsu no F. His petty wish on Super Broly (5 more centimeters? Fucking hilarious), some interactions on Tournament of Power, and even sparing the remaining Heeters, these are things that old Freeza would not do. Even sparing Goku and Vegeta, after one shot knocking them down, it's a proof that the martial arts/training thing from Goku rubbed a little on him. Again, old Freeza wouldn't spare them.
He's not redeemable at all, but now he's a space napol-hitler and a martial artist.
Usually i think about Frieza just being a generic sadistic dictator with a lot of power in his hand to walk around chasing planets to rule, but this ost bring that Lovecraftian cosmic horror theme to it. A feel of a unescapable fate, an iminent doom of something beyond comprehension, with no means to fight back, coming to you. It kinda captures what Freeza represents to the victims of his empire.

Goku Black was more Delirious than Frieza. Sure he killed countless Innocents just like the latter but he did it because he was after some misguided and twisted form of Justice with the plan of creating his own version of a Utopia. Frieza just killed for fun and didn't even make an attempt to hide the fact that he was a psychopath.
I think Majin Buu is the most evil. He is literally said to be PURE, UNADULTERATED, EVIL. I still prefer how Frieza seems to just be more broken while Buu is just dumb.

Wasn't it "he is coming, gates of hell laid open" and not "he is coming a horror beyond hell"? DBZkai has subtitle translations for that cut part of the music while krillin is getting impaled. And "the sky is enslaved by the night" instead of "the sky will fade into eternal night". Actually quite a lot of the lyrics for the first bit are off compared to the official translation provided during the scene, and compared to the other translations that you can find on google.
That's why I call these adaptations and not translations. They're more transformative than accurate to the original, and are meant to be easy to sing along to while keeping a rhyme scheme going in English, and are mainly focused on keeping the general spirit of the original lyrics intact instead of the wording. I try to keep the meaning as close as possible, but sometimes, especially for this one, I kinda go in my own direction to match the beat of the words.
That said, there's always room for improvement, especially with these lyrics. I might make a redone version someday like I did Unmei no Hi, but for now, this'll do.
Some words do NOT translate phonetically to English from Japanese because some words are shorter and longer in Japanese than English.
The adaptations work because you could legit sing them and NOT stumble like a dumbass.
In an AMV of this, I could imagine it fading away at the end as the sound of failing electronics can be heard.
