I remember being in the club one night with this songs bass hitting so fucking hard, and just looking up at the lights and closing my eyes, and just smiling. How amazing it was to be in that 80s nightlife energy, the people the sounds.
I remember hearing it in a best Goth club in Dallas, I think they had 4 room for music it was in video bar which consisted of crt tvs from back then. Fucking epic I was like omfg the lights and everything, Im not sure were the most of the DJ are at.
I was the DJ at Scandals and Neo Beach in Metairie and New Orleans (Uncle Rusty). This is STILL one of the BEST songs to come out of that era. TO THIS DAY I still have private razormaid/ industrial/underground parties at my house on weekends. Would love to see some of the kids back in the day. good times!!!
@@pauleames7255 Happy to hear you enjoyed it so much. My philosophy was the later the night got the more progressive the music would get. Anything from Razormaid, or Euro Imports would be on the top of my list mixed in with some Miami freestyle like Stevie B and West Coast like Egyptian Lover
For many years I was wondering who sang this song! Then a week ago I went to #s in my Houston, Tx. It was 6400 Night! And DJ Wes Wallace played this hit! I quickly ‘asked my cell’ for the artist! Oh how I wish I could teleport myself(adult self) and my club BFs to the 1980s club scene!
SECESSION IS BAD AZZZZ.. have loved them for many years, i used to play Secession at the club i worked at here in Florida in the 90's, and heard it played many times for a short while at clubs in ORLANDO, Florida also.. :-D
Succession was a pinnacle in music of this genre...book of love...blue savannah erasure... music that would fire neurons in my brain over and over...too many too list. Ahhhh. the old Paladium daze. What a rush.
West end, Austin, Texas, 1988. Incredible dance club that played unbelievable music such as this gem. Texas had some pretty incredible s back in the day, in all the major cites.
The ride alone (that dark winding road) was enough to get you going!! Not to mention the parking lot at 7 a.m.!! So many memories....some can be told, yet some go with me to my grave!!! A once in a lifetime (or weekend for several years) experience!!!
This is the mix DJ Rusty (akaUncle Rusty) used to play at Scandals in Metairie LA and Neo Beach in New Orleans. As a matter of fact if you wanted to hear Razormaid versions he had em all!
Ditto but reminds me of the best times of my life though. She died in 2017 (we.split in 2002) but still when i hear it brings me right back i remember the nights in the clubs the fun we had.
Yeah Adrian, James and Darryl. Mid 80’s to early 90’s. I lived in that place, no matter where you went to party you wound up back there to finish off the night. Those BB-Q’’s on the weekend were off the hook..
@KerryMack4 yeah right?? Secession always had groovy "break-up" themes..i love that in music..the theme of disappointment is oddly so cool isn't it?? ;-)

Still available through Razormaid . You may also find a lot of old original vinyl on a site called Discogs. Great spot for locating lost songs
This tune and a number of other 80's classic remixes are on "The Very Best Of Razormaid! XI" if you can find it.
