I've watched everything you have put on TH-cam, but have never commented. I just want to tell you how I have enjoyed keeping up with your cruise. I can't imagine being gone for that long. We are going to Alaska in August, and are so looking forward to it! Oh, and you are Chiefs fans, which makes it even better. We live in Springfield, MO. Enjoy your time with family in Europe!
Thanks so much for following along with us. We're both originally from Kansas Mike from the Topeka area and Nancy from Hutchinson, so of course we're Chiefs fans!
I went to St John's, Newfoundland last year on my cruise to Greenland. I highly recommend getting Screeched-In when in Newfoundland. If you are going to St John's, Christians Pub is a great place to go to get screeched-in. It is an initiation ceremony of sorts that at the end after a lot of laughter, makes you an honorary Newfoundlander. I also took a tour with McCarthy's Tours to Cape Spear, the Easternmost spot in North America. The ship is docked in the downtown area and is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and pubs. Dukes of Duckworth is a great place to go for fish and chips. Quidi Vidi, an old fishing village and i think there is the Quidi Vidi brewery qs well. The sail into St John's and the sail away is awesome, the Narrows live up to their name. When you are sailing away there will be many local people outside waving at the ship. Newfoundlanders are so friendly. It was in Gander, Newfoundland that during 9/11 many planes had to lqnd at the Gander airport when US airspace was closed. The hospitality of the Newfoundlanders was so incredible. The musical Come From Away is based on real life experiences from that time.
It would be nice if you had longer in each port and more overnights especially since this is really a once in a lifetime trip. I agree a cruise is definitely a buffet of the world. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Loving your channel! So down to earth and just calming and fun to watch. I had a few questions if you happen to see this... 1. the suites on the cruise ship (royal suite, etc)... are they occupied? How does that work... trying to imagine that price! Haha 2. Does the kid's club still run? Is it an adapted schedule?
We have not missed any of your videos. We were at the pier when you arrived and left San Pedro, California and wish we had a chance to see you. We really feel like you took us along as you were walking through all the stops. We connect with your positive attitude about this world we live in. Thank you and continue to be safe. ❤
Yes, Naples was pretty covered in graffiti. We actually thoroughly enjoyed Pompeii but had an excellent guy to take us through and really did enjoy it even in the extreme heat. We spent a little time down on the Amalfi Coast as well today. Keep an eye out for our video on that
Agree about the Travelon bags, mine saved me from a would be pickpocketer on a crowded train in Milan 5 years ago. I was considering getting the larger size (same as yours) for an upcoming trip but thought it might be too cumbersome and heavy especially if carrying two drinks, thanks for confirming that, I think I’ll pass on it and stick to what I have. We loved Pompeii and went to Herculaneum the same day which was also fabulous, we had a great private guide, it was all very interesting but so hot. Loving following along with your trip from my home here in Sydney Australia, your videos are so informative and entertaining. Thank you so much for doing them.
Zermatt is amazing. Went on a bus tour back in 2005 but chose it for the other stops but that easily was the most amazing place we went to. Klein Matterhorn was amazing. Our tour guide said that of all the times she’s been there, she’s only had weather that good about 5 times. Village was stunning.
I have really enjoyed watching your Many adventures. Somebody today asked about Newfoundland you have to get Sreetched in! I don’t know how long you’re there. But if you can get out to some of the cliffs and hike, it’s worth it. From St. John’s if you go up to the lighthouse, you could see quite a bit probably hopefully puffins and maybe whales! I am headed to Alaska soon. Would love to be on the next Royal Caribbean cruise.
I’ve planned a 15 day cruise (total of 18 day vacay) went on the cruise, returned , unpacked, stored the suitcases, and am busy planning another ALL while you’re still on the same cruise . LOL. A world cruise is definitely on my bucket list.
Post live future questions 1) did any one give up and leave ship from world cruise 2) supplies would you buy fewer knowing you had that stop in LAX 3) will you pack up and ship some memories from your France excursion 4)Southampton know you are skipping but wondering if you ever did Dickens tour
Question one: yes Questiontwo: no because we wanted to be all set. Question three we won’t ship anything until we get to New York. Question four we have not done the Dickens tour. Thank you for asking these questions!
I love your contents and keep coming back to watch. Wow, 200 days! I would have loved to this cruise if I could, living it through you guys and the other TH-camrs on this same voyage that I follow! Great contents!
I’m really hoping the videos continue after the cruise! I have come to look forward to all of your adventures and feel like we can travel vicariously through you. Thank you for sharing with us!
At this time, we plan to continue the videos because they’re such a great scrapbook for us. Our next big adventure is to visit national parks throughout the United States.
Thank you for your excellent content. Your adventures have inspired me ,I have just booked 120 day world cruise on Oceania Vista March 2026-July 2026 Super excited. this was compromise as I wanted the 197 days but my husband just thought that was too long.
20:14 that’s very interesting. I just bought those 2 bags on Amazon today for prime day. I have a feeling the 2nd bag will be too big but I want to see if I’d like that one or the 1st one. I have a feeling I’ll be returning the 2nd one.
On our cruise around SA, we did manage to get to the Folklands but, we almost weren't able to get back to the ship because the water became sooo rough and the tenders were having difficulty. They were saying that we might have to bunker down with residents on the island for the night. Luckily, they did manage to get us back on the ship but, it was scary. They still have live areas there. It was interesting.
I have followed you from day 1 and have enjoyed every vlog. Can't wait to see your stop in Newfoundland. Hope you manage to get to Gander but if not St John's has a lot to offer. The Basilica is one of the oldest in Nth America. Signal Hill and Cape Spear are all worth visiting.
Hi Nancy and Mike great to see you both. I would go on a world cruise but I am a senior solo traveler 7:14 and it is cost prohibitive, my husband doesn’t travel. Love your videos ❤ hugs
It is so good to travel while you are healthy. My now deceased husband & I traveled the world. Good memories. May I ask for the Travelon bag link? I have encountered many pick pockets in Naples & Paris. The Colosseum was closed for renovations when we visited. We had some wonderful cultural experiences on our month long river cruise Holland to the Black Sea. Jeanne retired RN
I am really enjoying all of your insights into the ports and stops you are sharing with us, its good of you to take the time to let us share your fabulous holiday, enjoy it all and thank you
It’s great that you mentioned this. We sort of have a list of our top five at the moment. Sometimes though our top five changes depending on the day. By the time we’re finished, we may have to do a top 10.😉
I have watched all your videos. We do have a couple of weeks on Celebrity, Barcelona to Athens coming up. I am getting excited and can not wait to see your Europe videos. Wel also want to walk the walls and Pompeii, Rome etc. I have been rehabbing my achilles all spring and now I am walking a few miles several days per week, after your comments on the wall I am a little anxious along with very excited. I am a bit older than you guys and hope I am doing enough to enjoy my time in Europe. I can't wait to see your videos. Bon Voyage!
Oh how wonderful. We just finished Nice France today. This is Nancy speaking and because my knees hurt I’m so grateful to have brought along hiking poles, which help in many places due to all the stairs. Have a great trip!
Seems this stream is actually real time since it is June 29th here in Florida! ( I'm' looking at the original itinerary from months ago) Another great stream love your episodes
Really enjoy your beautiful trip. Italy is lovely. May I ask a few questions? Do you miss having a bath? For insominacs is casino opened 24hours? And, so nuce you have a group of friends you've met. Do any live close to you or a combination of countries? And...do you fall asleep as soon as your head hit the pillows? Thank you so much, keep having fun and stay safe. Catherine😺🇨🇦🐶
Thanks for all the great questions, no really don't miss having a bathtub as we normally shower most the time anyway at home. As far as the casino it's not open 24 hours but it is open very very late and it's really depending on how many people are in their playing. It also has to close when we get near shore. And as to the question on our friends many live in the US but we've made some wonderful friends from numerous countries around the world so we all have lots of places we can visit and stay with friends now
Thanks Nancy and Mike...lol sorry for all the questions. It's just so interesting hearing about your life on ship. That's so great about making friends from allover, it's so nice to visit friends and stay with them, or have them stay with you. Looking forward to your next couple of months!
Hi from Down Under! Have really enjoyed your travels in this Ultimate World Cruise. Just a little jealous. I’ve been making notes about places to see when we finally get to cruise longer than 3 weeks. Grand babies keep us a bit busy but 2026 sounds promising. I do have a question. Will you collect Crown and Anchor points for your 274 nights. If so, I guess you will be sitting up at least Diamond plus. Take care and enjoy the last few weeks of your cruise. Then it will be time for lots of grandbaby cuddles. 😊
We can't wait to see our grandbabies as well too. And yes we get Crown and Anchor points we had about 100 before we got on so yes we'll be Diamond + 340 when we get off
If we were to do it again, we would consider getting the extended balcony room. It adds an extra 30 square feet to the room. Our current room is 170 square feet. 30 extra feet would be very helpful.
We have already contacted luggage forward, which is a company Royal Caribbean uses, and we will be shipping some of it home that way. We may also ship some home when we get to New York.
Love Iceland couldn’t go to Greenland due to weather conditions. Spent only 15 days there and if it weren’t so expensive I will definitely come back. I love south Italy and Sicily. Loved the decadence and that they were truly not a Disney tourist resort like sorrento and Taormina. Dirty yes, dangerous yes. But you can sense the city sleeping there. My tip to Pompeii is go to Herculano. With a guide if possible because there is much you don’t know what you are doing. In Florence there are loads of turista and tours but the community of Florence has great tours within the museums. I did the inferno tour and it was amazing (not avaible nowadays). In Spain be careful with the weather we are having a very mild summer but it will be extremely hot for you. In Malaga try the pimpi, a tourist tapas bar. It is a must, pricy but it has the ambiance of the old tapas bars. Take care carry water and a sunhat. I have never been to Vigo I think it is one of your ports and they have Christmas lights from September on. Is a running joke in Spain. I am waiting to see it through you with your eyes. In Spain not all the cities have Uber, download Freeform which is the taxi app and compare prices. That way is less probable for you to get scammed. Love you, love the respect you put in your videos, and Nancy you look great.
Thank you so much for all of these tips. We truly appreciate reading them and look forward to visiting these places. We have just finished visiting Nice, France, and will be in Spain soon
Pompeii is history, it gets very hot if it’s a sunny day, take an umbrella and water. Naples is life on steroids. Sorrento may be pretty but it’s for tourists with more dollars than sense.
Love your videos. I caught up on your earlier videos a few weeks ago and then continued. So have you guys gone around Africa? I am going to Alaska also in July for a cruise/tour.
Thank you so much. I’m really enjoying every minute of your videos. I appreciate the time you put in not only to taking the videos but the editing. I have a channel as well so I really understand. 😊
I love your travels it has been amazing watching you guys!!! I have one question: How are you doingnit with your hair??? You always look so put together??? I'd have to dye it every month, lol
Nancy here and this makes me giggle because I’m so NOT doing it with my hair. I’ve had it cut once. I try to fix it before we are on camera. But when we are out touring, especially when it is humid my hair is everywhere and hats are my best friend. 😉
Very good interview. We have been with you since Florida and continue to enjoy the quality and quantity of you VLOGS! You are genuine and fine people and make our travel exposures, through you, all the more inviting and entertaining. We have seen each segment with delight. Question: what editing program do you use and how long does an average time take for each segment? Safe and healthy travels to you two and, of course, following seas!
Thank you so much for all your kind words. We use cyber Link PowerDirector. I edit the audio and Mike edits the video. And it can take a good 2 to 3 hours for each of us depending on the video.
This is Nancy here, and to be honest, I haven’t really thought about it. My shower at home will be more spacious. The biggest thing I’m looking forward to when I get home is to hug and squeeze those grandbabies.
I bet you could write a book about your cruise and what it meant to you. I have a feeling it may have spiritual significance that would be interesting for readers.
I've watched everything you have put on TH-cam, but have never commented. I just want to tell you how I have enjoyed keeping up with your cruise. I can't imagine being gone for that long. Newfoundland is amazing! I took a boat tour out of St John’s Bay to see icebergs up front and centre! Amazing!
It would be nice if you had longer in each port and more overnights especially since this is really a once in a lifetime trip. I agree a cruise is definitely a buffet of the world. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
We agree with you completely. Thanks for following along with us on our journey.

How does that work... trying to imagine that price! Haha 2. Does the kid's club still run? Is it an adapted schedule?
Sweets are fully booked. I don’t know about the cost as we did not look into them. I’m sure a lot. Also, the kids club runs every day as usual.
@@livingphase2 Thank you!!

Thanks so much. Perhaps we will meet on a cruise someday in the future. Thank you for following along with us on our journey.
Sorrento is beautiful! Naples is dirty and Pompeii is a big tourist trap! I'm glad you saw Sicily. Molto Bello
Yes, Naples was pretty covered in graffiti. We actually thoroughly enjoyed Pompeii but had an excellent guy to take us through and really did enjoy it even in the extreme heat. We spent a little time down on the Amalfi Coast as well today. Keep an eye out for our video on that
HARR Travel I think is the person you were trying to think of for a ship tour. Thanks for sharing your journey. I have really enjoyed your videos.
Yes, that's right he does really good ship tours

Watching this after posted. We were on Song of America first cruise 1991! Now doing 90th to Norway 2nd of August!!
How wonderful!

Song of America was our first Royal cruise back in the 80’s!
That was great memories are honeymoon on song of America in 88
6 mo sounds like ideal. I just did a 2wk europe trip. 10day NCL mediterranean cruise. Loved it. My favorite was Taormina
Thanks for following along on our journey. I we don’t know how we’ll be able to go back to seven day cruising.

Looking forward to Seeing Christmas Tree 🎄 with Decorations World Cruise
Coming soon!
I missed the live but video idea when you get home, the unpacking and organizing process of all your treasures would be interesting to see too.
Nancy here. That is a good idea but honestly, I’m dreading the unpacking as much as the packing to go home.😬
I missed your Q&A. I was at work. Watching it now
Thanks for watching the follow-up, it's so hard to schedule them nine time zones away

Yes Nancy I agree overnight ports would be night. I think especially Sydney should have been.
Much agreed.

That’s the best thing about Amazon is get it, check it out, and return it if necessary. But I have been super happy with my bag.
On our cruise around SA, we did manage to get to the Folklands but, we almost weren't able to get back to the ship because the water became sooo rough and the tenders were having difficulty. Oh wow. That is an interesting story. Glad you made it back on the ship. Makes me wonder how often that happens on that island???
You were married the same year as us!!! We went on a 2 week Caribbean Regent Seas cruise….the ship was soooooooo small!
Yes you look back at song of America it was very tiny compared to what we have now
Thanks for allowing me to follow you around the world.
So happy to have you joining us on our journey!😀

Are you going to show us your collection of christmas ornaments?
Once we get it all put together we will certainly show it

We are in Italy now and enjoying it thoroughly can't wait to stop in Cork Ireland. Thanks for sailing along with us
How has your room been? If you could change to a different room, or larger one, would you?

My son worked in Angola....I can not believe it would be a "cruise port"! Oh my!

Yes, we have finished going around Africa and we are now in the Mediterranean. Have a great time in Alaska!
Thank you so much. I’m really enjoying every minute of your videos. I appreciate the time you put in not only to taking the videos but the editing. I have a channel as well so I really understand. 😊
Thanks so much for your kind words! We appreciate you.😀
I love your travels it has been amazing watching you guys!!!
Will you be doing videos after the cruise?
At this time, we plan to. It is such a great scrapbook for us. Our next big adventure is to visit national parks throughout the United States.
YES I CAN HEAR YOU
Thank you!
Good Stuff! Thanks for sharing...how much have you spent so far off of the ship (food, excursions, Christmas Ornaments 😀)?1?!?!
To be honest we don't track it that closely, but I'd say on the order of around $2,000 over 6 months
@@livingphase2 Thanks...just trying to mentally budget for my World Cruise some day!
Might seem like an odd question, but after 200+ days using a cruise ship shower, how much are you lookingi forward to taking a shower at home?
This is Nancy here, and to be honest, I haven’t really thought about it. My shower at home will be more spacious. The biggest thing I’m looking forward to when I get home is to hug and squeeze those grandbabies.
Sounds good.
How many places have you lived?
We have moved 13 times in our married life for Mike's career. But we're pretty well settled in Michigan now
I bet you could write a book about your cruise and what it meant to you. I have a feeling it may have spiritual significance that would be interesting for readers.
We could write a book! I don’t know that that will happen, but we certainly have a lot of information we could put together.
Do you guys gamble at all on the cruise ship?
Very little. Royal gives us eight dollars to gamble on each mini segment that we use.
YES FROM CANADA.
Thank you.
Take about safe , Passports, I've heard put 1 shoe in the safe , meaning you'd have to check the safe , Right- can't walk around with 1 shoe 😉😂
That is a great suggestion, we saw it from someone else as well.
We always keep our passports with us.
Did solo cruisers have to pay a supplement?
Yes they did, I believe it was similar to any other Cruise based on their level with Royal Caribbean
In case i missed anything, how much is the round the world Cruise ?
It was about $65,000 per person. It included gratuities, drink package, Internet, and laundry. This is for a standard balcony room.
@@livingphase2 I wonder if you’re left with feeling unable to explore more in certain places due to nature of cruise
Yes, We can har you!
How have the washrooms been around the world? I have certainly come across some weird ones.lol
Oh, that's an adventure in and of itself. It's probably worth a whole video just to talk about all our fun bathroom adventures
Yes
Hi
A lotion by the name icy hot works wonderful on knees
I see hot is great. I didn’t bring any along on this cruise, which is surprising because we have a lot of over-the-counter pharmaceuticals.
@@livingphase2 since your meeting up with family maybe they could get some off Amazon for you
I think I am late. But I can hear.
So what after this
See our grandkids! 😁 we actually have our next big adventure plan will be announcing it soon
Yes
