This is why no matter how old I get, I ALWAYS find time for some games at the end of the day. I'm 27 and work full time. I still manage to have time for games. The day that I give it up and cant find time for it is a dark day for sure.
I was 13 when this game came out. My life was simple, I was happy, calm and stable. All members of my family were alive. Now, I'm in my 20s, I lost my father, and am dealing with severe depression and anxiety since years. This video reminded me of my teenage self, a version of me that was happy, that had actual expectations and dreams about life. A version of me strolling through the streets of Italian cities with a young Ezio. What times. Thank you for making this.
Hey, thank you for taking your time to write this comment and listening to the video! Sorry for the late reply but I hope you're in a better place today. Hopefully this video acts like a safe space for your to calm yourself and rest for a bit. At least that's what ambience videos are for me, that's why I decided making them. For me as well as for people like you. Don't give up, Ezio never did either! :)
Hey, you are not alone, same happened for me also. My father was alive while I played this game Infront of him, I lost him too and also facing depression and anxiety for years. Yes, I miss me, that happy me
All I can say about AC 2 is there aren't many games I can finish and be ready to replay again only weeks later. There's a real magic about this game and its not nostalgia. It just leaves me feeling hopeful and ready for whatever is next. I only played AC 2 for the first time in two years ago, so you guy's praise is justified because I feel it. And for reference Odyssey was my first AC game and after three attempts to finish it I gave up and started in order from AC1.
I really like the story driven AC games aswell. Cannot really connect with the "RPG" ones. And, in my opinion, they're not even good at being an RPG game
I’ve slipped up in life lately lost my job haven’t been self disciplined and feeling bad but it’s never too late I know I can turn my life around, this amazing music from the games I used to play when I was a kid remind me that I have to change my life and I’ll be happy soon but now I am the lowest I’ve ever been in my life and I gotta change right now
I'm trying to get more disciplined too at the moment :) Hang in there, it will get better. I hope this music can keep you focused on the work you need to do :)

In my 4 years in Italy, I've never been outside of Rome. Today right now I'm at Venice. For 3 days though. But it's night and I only came to see the city of assassins creed. I am getting goosebumps from the music. It feels familiar...it feels like there's a hope...it feels like I belong here....among them...the chosen ones❤❤❤
The Best AC game of them all, with the best protagonist...Very seldomly are games so historically and aesthetically faithful as the AC series.Fun fact: when i was in Venice, in St.Marco's square, I could see the exact buildings Ezio used to climb, and I was like :wow, I've climbed this and that and the other one. It was quite surreal..
Ahh , back when i called in sick to school to play this and other classics title , no regrets to be honest , i'll do it again , we miss you 2010s , you will be remembered
even though this game is old af, the setting and ambience of this game was top notch. No matter how much the games get realistic, nothing beats the beauty of Venice and its fireworks festive nights and running on its roof as people are enjoying and dancing underneath wearing masks. Its poetic, its beautiful, and I wish there would be more scenes like that specifically.
Absolutely agree, that's why I even made a dedicated video about the carnival. I love it so much. And listening to Tour of Venice just adds to this bittersweet peotic feeling :) If you enjoy this type of feeling and even architecture I would recommend reading The Lies of Locke Lamora. It's a fantasy novel about a band of thiefes living in a venice inspired city :)
I love how this soundtrack beautifully blends the grief, the hope and the mystique of Ezio’s story…this game is an absolute masterpiece when you consider it was released in 2009! 🤯
I just finish Ezio story last week and I already miss it, the vibes, the background music, the character, the story. It was the best and amazing experience. I hate it when it comes to an end 😠 I MISS IT!!!!
Suddenly transported to simpler times. So glad i got to play this in my teens. I also love that ezio's family theme was carried on to other AC games as if it was already a staple in the series.
So far from all the propaganda that we know today in video games. An artistic quality and an exceptional reconstruction of cities. A unique, harmonious, peaceful atmosphere. A game so pleasant to play thanks to the wonder caused by each note, each street corner, each word of a main character with charisma can be unique in the history of video games. AC2 is a unique, fascinating, captivating gaming experience. Probably the only game in the world that manages to convey a feeling of nostalgia years after its release. A timeless masterpiece
Love it, It’s So beautiful 🥹 Listening to it feels like I’m being transported to some otherworldly place, I just cannot believe how good this soundtrack is. One of the best games ever ❤

When I hear this music it makes me remember that time when I was just a child who had no obligations and worries, I think those feelings go back to how I felt when I was a child when playing this game.
Man. In the last few days I've been doing some deep work while having this music on. These songs truly feel like they teleport you somewhere. The beautiful, almost lullaby-esque style of 'Home in Venezia', and how the angelic-like singing such as around 12:10, 18:10, 21:20, 27:28 honestly feel like they almost transcend just a song. At points like 27:28 it almost feels like walking through a dimension with angels' voices echoing from different directions. It's seriously such a beautiful and amazing compilation of music. And yes, the memories getting immersed into this world for hours made. We went on those adventures, we made those decisions, we navigated those journeys. I definitely resonate with others here on the nostalgic journeys many of us had with this game. And man, when the theme at 33:53 starts again, goosebumps 😆 haha. Amazing, and thanks again for this video as well 🙂 ☀

What a breathtakingly beautiful masterpiece... takes me back to 1476 like it was yesterday.. I am overwhelmed with pain and joy to hear this ambience and words are not enough to describe my feelings and emotions.. now if you don't mind I am gonna cry and heal my soul while listening to this...
Let me tell you a story.. This game reminds of the pleasant memories I have of my high school years although I played this game before when I was a kid but still then this memory is the one I get reminded of, I live in Pakistan where you know holidays happen after a few time I got one week of them and in that time period I decided to 100% the trilogy, I played AC 2 and completed it in just 3 days 100%, and I still remember it was still the same time when I started talking with the most favorite person of my life and this music reflects nostalgia and many other feelings but when I hear "Sanctuary" My god I cry some bad memories also happened... I still cry but in the end things got better.

WE TRULY LIVED THE LAST GOOD OLD DAYS
Ahh I remember I reserved a Collector's edition for about a €100 at the local game shop months ahead. I still have the 30cm tall statuette of Ezio. I suspect it's worth something by now, even more in 10 years, depending how well Ubisoft does with the Assassin's Creed franchise.
The start at 1:05 and what follows always gets to me. It makes me think about my life from a third person point of view. Similar to how Desmond, a descendant of Ezio steps into his shoes. I don't know. My life needs to be more of adventure instead living it vicariously, something a descendant could be moved by possibly.

I would sneak out at night to hang with my friends and girlfriend at the time in high school and on the journey back home late at night with the moon light shining I’d blast the Ezio’s Family track and felt like I was Ezio.
Those visuals are part of a Cristina mission from AC:Brotherhood, which takes place in the AC2 timeline. They remastered a small fragment of the cities for these missions specifically :) Othe than that it's the Ezio collection, recorded on a PS5
This is what I call dedication :) Sorry for the ads in the videos. I don't place them myself, since I cannot monetize the content because I don't hold the copyrights to the music (obviously). I would recommend installing an ad blocker if you're listening on PC or downloading the video and transferring it to your phone. That's what I do all the time. Spotify, for example, even let's you add your local data from your phone to one of your playlist. So you can listen to it via Spotify. :)

Some updated graphics would be so nice. I would also like to see an ACII game with the parkour system of Unity
I would sneak out at night to hang with my friends and girlfriend at the time in high school and on the journey back home late at night with the moon light shining I’d blast the Ezio’s Family track and felt like I was Ezio.
This sounds like a very beautiful memory! :)
Back when you knew game would be good regardless of reviews. Nowadays you have to check first.
People in ac franchise are too active to sleep at night, like, I just wanna climb up those roofs without anyone looking at me
Pain in the knees? No worry ;)
It was a time when Ubisoft made good games. Rest in peace.
Is there some graphics mod being used in that vid?
Game looks much better than I'm used to
Those visuals are part of a Cristina mission from AC:Brotherhood, which takes place in the AC2 timeline. They remastered a small fragment of the cities for these missions specifically :)
Othe than that it's the Ezio collection, recorded on a PS5
@@Pharysz OH! Its with Brotherhood's graphics. Now it makes sense.
Thanks for explaining.
I bought youtube premium so I can listen to this with no interruptions
This is what I call dedication :) Sorry for the ads in the videos. I don't place them myself, since I cannot monetize the content because I don't hold the copyrights to the music (obviously). I would recommend installing an ad blocker if you're listening on PC or downloading the video and transferring it to your phone. That's what I do all the time. Spotify, for example, even let's you add your local data from your phone to one of your playlist. So you can listen to it via Spotify. :)
Did you use any graphic mod or nothing it's orignal game !
It sounds like.. Home..
It is! :)
Imagine Ubisoft did something good for once and remade these games graphic wise
Poor ezio had to stay in that position for 37 minutes
how can you keep sitting on that ledge for this long
Strong muscles
