I would have ran the denim panels for the event, and then with the CNC panels afterwords…but that’s me.
Don't fail us by removing half of the theme.
MAKE DENIM GREAT AGAIN.
I fully support machined panels 10/10. Now get the roof and hood machined too. Sometimes you change directions for a better finish. They look absolutely killer.
I just love that wheel combo. Great choice Josh
I’d be afraid to put a scratch on that thing. Details details! Great work man. I can’t wait for u to release these files. I’m building an R2 as we speak from my Stance since I finally built a badass VRD Carbon.
I like the idea of the inset leather patch. I love how you always go to 11 with your builds
👍
🙌
Nice panels 👍🏾💯
Broke back mountan high !!
😂 have fun guys !! Nice rig josh
I love the denim and would love to see you do it again the way it was suggested in the LS. Adding the relief for the leather patch is a great idea too. Good luck!
I thought the denim panels was an awesome idea and was looking forward to it as part of your theme so not having on is a bit disappointing. Flip side, CNC'd anything is F'n AWESOME! I like the inset leather into the denim roof idea. Keep it up Josh!
Not gonna lie, I think it would look the best if all the panels were aluminum cnc and anodized blue
Cnc for the win 10+
I'm not sure what I was expecting when you said Jean panels. But it wasn't quite that! Lol. But really like the panels Jim made you. Way awesome.
That is an awesome kit, great review as usual:) your reviews are the most in depth and informative on TH-cam. keep up the good work
Those panels are amazing 🔥. Use the denim for a seat cover or jeans on the driver. Great build
Wicked awesome 💯👍
Jim gets an ATTA BOY on those panels! Soooo sick!
CNC reminds me of the 90’s Hot Rod bolt on.
Awesome❤
Love the cnc panels. They are a10.
CNC for the win 🎉
SOOOO disappointed you didn't use the denim. That being said, those cnc panels are AMAZING!
I like the side panels. Also you used all the tools you have available and many different techniques on this build
Did you see the new, new rule? Not only does the driver figure have to be separate from the seat, it must be capable of comforting you and talking trash to the other drivers.
100% should have stuck with the denim and %1000 need to adopt 4K uploads!
The Denim is definitely different looks cool great idea can't go wrong with machined panels those look Awesome build looks Excellent. Are those Bugle Boy jeans your crawler is wearing LOL thanks for the videos
2 - very disappointed that it’s not full denim. Hopefully Matt kept his promises this week 😂
Wait a minute here,,,,, your day job is at Vanquish making RC parts🤯
Awesome work man.
Those panels are sick.
Very cool.
The leather came out cool though.
I want it hahahaha.
Channel members should get a patch.......
🤣🤣🤣
Seriously though good job man.
I wouldn't have kept the Jean panels
Stick with the denim/carbon fiber/ leather.... don't take the easy way out with the cnc panels. 😅
gEEZUS every time that explosion blows me ear drums. rig is looking so good! I'm ready to see it run.
Well I’m not that disappointed that you’re not using denim but definitely jealous of those panels!
Was really hoping for the denim but damn those cnc panels are rad af!
The CNC panels look sweet. Denim CF looks good too. Either one will look great so whatever haha
The machined panels represent the big flashy belt buckle.
High and tight was cool but the machined aluminum is tighter. I vote ditch the denim and go all aluminum panels.
Holy shit I’ve watched for a long time
CNC in Riot Blue is the way to go.
I see your difficulties in choosing between those really slick aluminium panels and those exiting Dinim panels. I would go with the aluminium for this build and use the Denim in a later one.
aluminum panels are awesome! but, for this build you need the Denim and the leather patch.
Freaking computers are amazing
Love the cnc but would prefer to also have a matching hood / roof to complete the package
Scrap the denim. Go full CNC!!!
I'm at a 5. I'll save judgment for when its complete.
Det så hyggeligt ud.👍 Vi havde også en god tur i Hvorup.😃
9/10 sorry for you about the denim panels not fiting nice. It was quite interesting as an cosmetic option.
Cnc is awesome but you should keep it high and tight for the event!
Would been cool to continue with the denim (3), but you do you Josh
Maybe a belt buckle for a grill 🤔
The CNC panels look amazing! 100% 10
I am curious about why the carbon fiber backing? Denim and epoxy is micarta - which is incredibly strong and durable on it's own.
A full set of machined panels (inc hood and roof), anodized blue would be awesome.
The denim was a cool idea but didn't think it would work very well. The new machined panels are bad ass. So kinda disappointed but I would go machined as well.

Run the denim and use the CNC for display
CNC Aluminium all the way
You should see it you can get the door panels to look like the patch
1.
No life till denim!
denim panels for sure. run the cnc panels after the event. unless your going to cnc a hood.
10/10, cnc panels! The denim is neat, but it didn’t turn out how I had envisioned. I think I was picturing the panels looking more like if you were to glue denim onto the panel, that way it doesn’t have the saturated compressed look and has more textured look.
Hate to see you are not running Futaba any longer.
Make sure all your servo horn screws are tight and lock tightened
Anodize the side panels to match the wheels.
You should name it Harley in the Levi's font and your area code in the Levi's font. Would look like a Jean style.
I’d have to go with a 9. Denim is badass and you hate the ripper but yet want panels like it???
The lack of denim is disturbing.
I'm saddened by the lack of denim now. Whatever you ask the rating for, I give it a three because it's not 100% themed
Cnc 4 da dub
Was it tbe leather expansion when wet that caused the issue of movement in the mold?
Is Nicole jealous of your new Cnc panels?
Not disappointed at all…is that 10?
Is it really necessary to use a block that big to cut those side panels out of I mean I can see how it could help stabilize stuff by being that big like by being able to clamp it down more but I don't understand if you're just cutting something that you know what I mean I'm just trying to understand
It pretty much is, because the depth of the panel goes from the front to the back nearly. That's how all machining works, start with a big block and make a smaller part.
1! But thers an easy solution. Do it like matt and use the denim at the comp and the nice and clean cnc parts for display. Done. Thank me later :)
Totally expected denim too bad you gave up on it!!!
Use a zipper-like design for the grill. Who's going to detail your driver? That requires...PAINTING! I can appreciate CNC panels, but a solid 2 for copping out on the full denim. At this point, just CNC the rest of the panels, too. The mixed panels look weird.
The denim looked cool, carbon fiber would've been better. But the CNC panels are the best looking, should just do the hood and roof at this point
What about using used denim? Would be more pliable than new denim. You could get them cheap from a thrift store
-10 out of 10, Josh just use those fancy side panels on the next moon buggy build and redo the denim side panels!
Hm. I think its pretty cool doing what you are. I am bummed you are not doing denim panels for everything, but the machined panels are pretty sweet.
Did them side panels that's what the whole truck should have on it right there that son of a gun is beautiful you've done an amazing job brother I definitely would do the roof like that with a divot in the front of the roof Maybe
I would definitely have Jim do the rest of the truck in machine panels and I would not touch them I would leave them in their raw finish they look gorgeous you're tripping if you ask me
why not skin the side panels in denim?
You should C&C the hood like a brand and do it old school with heat.
10
No denim, might as well call it a non build, unless you can bribe Jim to making me some cnc panels, then I stand behind your decision 100%
Do da rules allow ya ta use da driver attached to da seat?
OK I continued ta watch 😆
THE most awesome thing in the world, who says no to CNC..... except for condoms
imagine for a moment how many like minded people would love to hold a piece of denim or a sweet CNC ALU paneled crawler from a solid block. ill like what ever you choose, but jeans
p.s i dont like the colour blue
0. CNC 4 the win. 10
Keep going as you are! Denim is overrated!! Lol!
I think CNC with blue anodizing will be sweet. I think the hood still gets your moms house points. Keep em high n tight! Sending hate from Arkansas...
Looks like enough material to make two sets of panels🤔
1 for disappointment the cnc is so much nicer and then anodized come on its gonna look so sick Matt's copper is pretty cool but this seriously steps your up a bit I think
1 and 10
I am at a -1 million percent disappointed that u don't want to run the denim
I say ditch the denim!!! Go all machine panels. It looks to sick not to.
I thought you where doing all machined panels the mix is no biggie of course the aluminum panels are way more bad ass than denim
10 how could you say no to CNC
10, Scrap the denim.
I like the machining video but I has to pee twice while it was playing…..
CNC is awesome, but with your skillset it really seems like a cop-out.
