Assamites and Salubri share a lot of history, and maybe even have a sort of a bond. Haqim and Saulot regularly interacted with one another and also advised other Kindred of the second city (each in his own way). Samiel (a Salubri) led the coalition against Baali and many of his companions during the war were Assamites. Also, when Tremere and Camarilla started persecuting the Salubri in the Dark Ages, the Assamites saved many of them by smuggling Salubri exiles out of the danger zone, which was a bold thing to do at that time since almost every other clan fell upon the children of Saulot. Also, they were both wronged by Tremere. I would describe the Assamites as loyal friends (if you never wronged them) but vicious, merciless and terrifying enemies (who can hold a grudge for a very, very long time).
It is also implied that almost all living Salubri and either in the Ashira or Sabbat. Both were saved by the Banu Haqim. The loyal Black hand (not Tal'heme'ra) are most made from Salubri and Banu Haqim. There is also an in-world rumor that the Ashira have seven Salubri as members, but that would not make sense as there's no reason for the Ashirra to limit their numbers. It's likely that 7 whole bloodlines (ancestry not variant clans) are protected not just 7 individuals. The Ashirra, Banu Haqim and Salubri are more than likely still going after the Tremere, and it was most certainly the Banu Haqim who told the Second Inquizition where the Tremere Chantry was
I'm still bugged they joined the Camarilla, because it goes against the clan and how they functioned. A major aspect within the Haqim is that before you're even considered for embrace, you must train for 7 years as a ghoul and prove yourself worthy of the clan's blood. After you go through the trials and pass their tests, only then do you become one of the clan, a clan that always focused on the concept that only the clan matters, not the sects.
Dose anyone have more information on the 1,000 meter club? I can't seem to find any information on the wiki. All my Google Fu is failing me and I can't remember where I saw information on it.
I'm sorry, what's the brotherhood who was inspired by Tzimisce called? Mentioned in the end of the lecture when discussing variants. Otherwise an excellent analysis which inspired me to find out more and maybe even step into the boots of one of the followers of Haqim for just a small while. :)
Listening to the podcast while walking on empty streets at night is perfect immersion. Well done.

And In Honor, This Banu Representative applauds such. Your are safe my friend.... for now ~~Cathryn (Psycheshire)
Thank you kindly!
Gods above and below... It wasn't until about 17min in that my brain caught up to that you're saing "Baali" not the grain "barley" >.
Being allergic to barley (gluten), that is just as scary to me! 😨
Love all of this lore, the Banu Haquim are pretty cool next to the Gangrel and the Ministry lol
And they are all right next to each other on the podcast. As if you can listen to one after the other in succession!

Your lore is good question for you why did the assamites change there name.
The Banu Haqim is the name given to the Assamites of the Ashirra faction, who have in V5 lore "allied" themselves with the Cam.
@@LoreByNightVtM Oh okay so are there still Independent Assamite or did they all join the Cam?
There are still independent Assamites
Awesome I was just curious
