Great game! One small tip, Thresh's souls dont spawn if not on vision, so be sure to wait till you can see all minions before you proc static shiv :)

You should max E on AD Thresh because the AD ratio increases with ability level, it starts at 80% and ends at 200%. If you want more info on AD Thresh i reccomend the channel CryoBeats, he is a really cool guy that has been playing off-meta Thresh for years (AD, AP, Bruiser), he really knows the character's ins ans outs.

It starts here 05:18 where u save and kill, then continues, 05:33 where they thought u missed ur hook, they walk up... then they see u level up and realize that it was calculated, then they try to run but, ur incredibly confident play, usage of ur resources, made u THE threat for the rest of the game, and it should. that kind of confidence, forces ppl into action, friend and foe alike. proof of that, fiora joining in the fight despite being very low. twitch, killing ur opponent as soon as he gets his first item, despite being weak and 2 levels behind. and yeah, twitch was complimenting u. as he started doing so on ur triple kill.

Its funny how Pekin toys with these Challengers on these picks first timing and coincidingly explaining also everything. Shows how much above he is compared to the rest of the server.
There's totally a bug interaction going on between thresh's E and static. It seems like when you attack a target that could be killed by static shiv alone, the auto attack doesn't consume the E charge up. It happened a few times when weakened melee minions were attacked and most times where static was used in the casters.

I know it's horrible for the game when it's this good, but seeing so many champions that would normally be totally unplayable in every role because of Statikk is just so fun man. I wish it could stay this strong while not having any hard abusers, but realistically that will never happen :(
Same thing happened with Heartsteel in ARAM pre nerfs. Everyone was building it, most fun I've had in LoL

I mean, looking at the changes for it, it doesn't look like it's going to completely die. At the end of the day, Statikk still answers the crippling question of "Can it mid?" by granting wave clear to champs that don't have it. You just won't one tap casters instantly any more, which for certain champs might actually be a welcome change.
You should've build wit's end as second item. Rumble gutted your snowball so hard. But it was so much fun. Good vid as always.

I find oneshot thresh can be really good against AD assassins as his he can get pretty tanky, has good self peel, and can kill most of them in 2/3 hits

A nice thing about Charged Shard items is that if it would kill a minion it doesn’t consume your E passive

This is a build that I find really interesting. Also super annoying to go against lol. As far as quickblades, my two guesses for why it’s the pick is that one, it gives AD per legendary item, but so does infinity edge so probably not that. More likely I think is the cooldown reduction, after your initial burst this build is kinda stuck just spamming weaker empowered autos while everything is on a long cooldown (especially cause I don’t think this build has ability haste) so being able to get your abilities back practically twice as fast by spamming autos is huge and gives you a second chance to use your CC in a skirmish.
If the damage boost to abilities on quickblades applies to your at auto then that’s probably a factor too, but IDK if it does (I also don’t know if that damage is multiplied by crit and this infinity edge either)

I could give a few nitpicks about your plays as an avid thresh player, but this series really does show that even if you are first timing suboptimal picks, you can win through pure fundamentals.

That was the fastest lvl 1 kill I've ever seen
I know it seems silly to harp on about getting souls, but I feel it's so easy to underestimate how much you can lose by not taking the free ones laying nearby. Like Pekin definately missed at least like 20 in this video I feel, and there was no camp taking or shadowing to collect more.
20 souls is worth 20 ability power, 20 armor, 35 on-hit damage on every uncharged auto, and 35 bonus shield on both Thresh and whoever takes Lantern. That's a lot of stats you're giving up for "Just that one soul" or "Maybe I'll need Lantern" that ends up building up into huge piles of lost stats. Even on AD builds, Thresh's good AP scalings and the fact that (Currently) Stormrazor and Shiv's AP ratios further feed the souls back into the one tap charged auto, makes AP through souls still very coveted.
Thresh's passive still baffles me that it exists, as it feels like this small fun minigame for a support is a ticking timebomb before it turns it's champ into a stat-checking farm hungry solo-laner waiting to happen, as it improves your tankiness, burst and continuous damage all at once. Especially with Riot's recent history of just constantly buffing it to try and keep Thresh relevant, then only nerfing the parts that benefit support without touching the soul mechanic as a whole.

AD thresh maxes E, not Q. You don't scale as well on souls/AD until it's maxed. 4:08
23:47 I'm pretty sure Twitch was pinging you because you had W the whole time and could have had it passively on his zhonyas for the shield when he came out of it
Typically you want to Q1 -> edge of range E toward you as your catch, because you can hit the auto right after it and either follow or retreat from that point. Rarely want to Q2 since we're not tank in this build.
I think this is pretty playable with Phase Rush also because of this bread and butter-- Any time you land it you proc PR, which gives you a lot of options with how to play from there.
Navori's CDR on autos helps bring that combo around more often, and it also just feels nice with W uptime as well-- Gives you more soul pickup/general team assist utility to play around.
I'm not 100% certain, but I think it's likely that Navori's 20% damage amp also applies to your E passive damage to your autos, which makes it a huge steroid
