His ability to accurately cross-kick out of hand to the wingers is second to none. He's even better at it than peak Willie Le Roux. And his lateral kicks with the side of his boot are tremendous... Ôo
I genuinely don't think there is another player that consistently nails cross kicks like Manie does, as a Stormers fan I have become so desensitized by his cross kicks because of how normal he makes it. Ofcourse Dupont is famous for his tryline cross kicks but that's mostly to un-marked players whilst Libbok's kicks are to wingers that have someone infront of them.
How do you do that? They both play at winger, are a very similar height, size, stature, they both wear a scrumcap, it is the same colour for both. They even have a very similar complexion. Other than Arendse usually playing on the left (11) and Kolbe on the right (14), how do you determine which is which from the first glance?
I have so much to say (write ) about Libbok. If only he had a Damian McKenzie/Thomas Ramos at fullback or a Jordie Barrett at inside centre, sparks would fly. I wish Libby all the best for 2025.
His success rate for place kicks last URC season was 73%, which is not bad, but perhaps not quite as good as Pollard or Sacha. The flip side is of course his attacking skills which lead to more tries, such as the pinpoint cross kicks we see in this video. So, to say that he has yet to learn how to kick at goal is a ridiculous exaggeration. I do wonder why some people are so quick to completely dismiss him. He is such a wonderful, skillful, entertaining player.
@@MartensAD He was replaced by Pollard in the last World Cup because of his poor kicking. He missed 11 points in the game against Ireland in the pool stages and it cost us the match. Pollard kicked for 100% in all three games which the Springboks won by 1 point each. Libbok would've cost them the World Cup. If you want to win tight games you need a reliable kicker.
@@Hammersteyn and he doesn't need to play for your country's national team, he plays for the Stormers in Cape Town. He remains the highest point scorer in the URC's history. Enough said.
Blood pumping, adrenaline rushing and such a light, exact touch. 💯

Top 5 flyhalves in the world right now!!
02:20 Is it just me or the international commentators (Other than South Africa) still can't determine who is Arendse and Kolbe?😅

@andrasszabo1570 Kolbe has a little more muscle that Arendse
@@andrasszabo1570 so easy to tell em apart.

Cross kicks 100%
Goal kicks 0%
Such an exceptional player. Very exciting to watch.
Underated player
Not in france
@@jeanmichelreneredbeans4104 really? If only he had Ramos😢.
He so good at them it’s a cheat code for him
He's such a good fly-half it's a shame that apparently only your 10 is allowed to kick for goal
Imagine bruh, people acting like it's a rugby rule for the 10 to be the sole kicker on the field
Since when?
No such rule, Craig Casey in November kicked a goal for Ireland and he is a scrum half.
Wait if it’s not a rule why is it all anyone bloody talks about when Libbok at 10 is mentioned
@@gingertronmk1 I don’t really know.
Does it with both feet, quality.
I wish he was French where a fly half doesn't always have to kick. Look at Ntmack and Jalibert
And people wanna doubt his boot? 🤣🤣
Sad reality is he's 27 and has yet to learn how to kick at goal.
