Whilst trying to practive his illegal, dirty and dodgey plays to still be shite? Yeah nah Shame he even tried it against Faf in the 2019 WC Final and failed. Joke of a player, Farrell and Itoje should exchange numbers and go on a date.
I really really enjoy and appreciate how (even though i fancy myself a bit if a rugby nerd and hyper observant) these tactics vids open my rugby eyes even wider. As always bravo.
the possible trend towards aerial specialists on the wing might be counteracted by the rise in blitz defences. if a team wants to run a nienaber style system, there going to do much better with a smaller nippier wing than with someone like Freddie Steward
Based on these comments, the England rugby teams appears to live in people’s heads rent free. Even when we are shite. Could you imagine how angry South African and Irish fans would be if we actually played good rugby. Still holding out hope
old habits die hard mate. But honestly most of us Saffas aren't like that, we're not too bothered unless we're playing England. I do however like to see the 3 lions losing, that never gets old 🤣🤣
As ever, super interesting, and helped deepen this idiot's understanding of the game. I'm really looking forward to looking out for this in the SN. Couple of thoughts: Is the perfect 9 for this someone who is two-footed, has great vision and can kick accurately in a number of different ways? Which is still fucking Dupont, isn't it? Second, I guess this happens to a degree already but maybe fans aren't aware of it, will there be more dedicated chasers that aren't wingers? For example, you could use Ted Hill as one (tall, great leap, rapid) instead of Ollie Sleighthome. But then if you take Ted Hill off, you need to bring another chaser on, possibly in a different position, or adapt in another way.
Perfect scrumhalf is very hard to gauge. Making your major plays off nine - like Dupont - does come with numerous benefits, allowing you to get and attacking stab through after the breakdown with the opposition defense not quite set. Passing the ball to the fly-half gives them that extra second to get into position, so the logic is that if you can get decent tactical kicking or running done off nine, that you can catch defenses out. Problem with this is that when you put pressure on the nine, you can potentially disrupt the entire team. While it is much faster to play off nine, remember that the nine is a lot closer to the action than the ten is, and therefore easier to get to. This is why I wouldn't advise making the major plays off of nine, but instead advocate for a more classical scrumhalf that just gives beautiful delivery time and time again.
Video topic and name should’ve been; “So how did the Springboks winning tactics make World Rugby keep changing the laws to nullify their strengths”. Follow up video should be: “So how do the Springboks keep evolving in spite of World Rugby changing the laws to give England and France an edge over them”
This springboks team literally have Kolbe, fassi, etc… I think they will be just fine tbf. Plus a number of unbelievable kicking 9’s. England have much more to worry about than a team that have literally won the WC twice on tactics that involve some of the best wingers I have seen.
I recall the same thing happening to other SH sides in the last 40 years. Look at how the game has changed since Wales & France were dominant in the 1970s. It may be safer (if you play inside the rules) is it better? That's your opinion. I do not believe so.
Didn't watch the vid, just reacted. However, the 6N starts next Fried-egg and I think that this is aimed at those 12 teams. SH teams will gain from what happens up until April.
Maro Itoje is smiling quietly as he sharpens a knife in a dark room somewhere
and Etzebeth is belly laughing whilst honing his dual machetes 😂

Just noticed: congratulations on 250k followers!

As a mere pleb, I also appreciate this video. Much needed
"... news that devastated Lawrence Dallaglio..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Came to say this 😂😂😂
17:48 I see what you did there Squidge !
I did rewind to check. Missed it first time. 100% worth the effort.
I'm not impressed. Such an obvious pun.
I thought Squidge was a Biggar man than that.
Thought for one moment you were going to finish with "Well done Bill"!
really good video , one of your best, many thanks
Thank you, Squidge, for using much needed logic!!!
The CON-trollers love to fok up the best game in the world.

I've always thought the rule changes have the power to improve the game. Lots of recent laws have been great, not just this one.
Disagree! I quite like it
King of the convoy = Ireland. By a country mile. It's hard to believe so many players can loiter with such innocence.
Huh?
As a Sale fan im happy

Irish fan here. I actually like watching England and enjoy when they are doing well and playing well. We're not all angry and grumpy.... 😂
Ohk boet beat you guys 4 on knock outs
Stewart may jump well, but he is more frequently a dead loss if he doesn't gather the ball.
Why are 9s allowed to pick up the ball and then put it back down or even just knock it on?
More hairy for wingers who are going to have more midair collisions and might not come down the right way up.

Hit the notification quicker than playing 15s gave Ilona Maher an injury!
This rule is going to absolutely devastating against the preferred tactics of the Springboks.
...of 2023 😎
Did you understand what you saw here?
@Norman-th7kx Do you understand the comment you replied to?
lets go varney, lets get them charged down
They need to get rid of the 50-22 kick. It's as lame as a US football forward pass. Work for your meters!
Rugby needs commercials to make more money. How bouts a 30 sec commercial after each try? How much time they need to reset everything after a try?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Just, no.
@ but players make more money. More money better players more people want to play more fans etc etc
You're right the game does need an injection but that's not it, it'll ruin the feel of the game. For sure wouldn't work in the UK, many hate adverts.
@ just 15-30 seconds. How long does it take to set up line outs, after tries or penalties?
wnaker

So will be unsubscribing to this channel because they talk about all the teams in the World but not Springboks and as SAFFS makes me sad.
