Great job, Justin. I've been teaching this tune for 50 years. This used to be the theme song for a popular radio show in Detroit and all of us old guys learned it. It's so great to see you giving this to a new generation.
Finally someone teaches this correctly, with finger and thumb...thanks Justin!
Thanks for not using a flatpick, and at least discussing Freddie's metal fingerpick. I see so many lessons, especially on this tune, all done with a flatpick. Excellent job!
Can I just say as a massive Freddie King fanboy, I'm so happy to see someone playing his songs with their fingers instead of a pick. You just can't get the same kind of feel for his licks and songs without it. Great stuff, Justin!!
I'm drooling over that sweet guitar.
Thanks for the lesson Justin.
This is a real guitar player's song.
May I ask that you continue on with this one, there are quite a number of interesting riffs through out which would be great to learn.
Great!!! I'm sooo happy to see you doing a tutorial on this long overdue classic!! Hot!!
Justin, another top notch session! I just spent an hour with you Fire & Rain lesson and now Hideaway. WOW!
Thanks so much for this Justin!
Love that tune! Someone would have to be a zombie, the walking dead with no soul, to not love the blues. It just triggers something in the human brain. Thanks Justin.
For sure.
Justin. You're an f in legend. Just so good at explaining and demonstrating the techniques/timings etc.. Love Clapton doing this one too...
This is one of my favorite tunes, can you please cover the stumble that’s another favorite tune that I like great video thank you for posting it
Thanks Justin, I've been searching the website for this classic, nobody does it better than you.
Thanks Justin ! I love Freddie King !
Great lesson, hereby I also launch a request for a series of blues standard lessons !!

Wonderful intro lesson for this iconic blues number. It is one I really want to learn. Thank you.
Great job! Can we can a lesson on “I’m all torn down” by Freddie King?
Do you take requests here? Helplessly Hoping by Crosby, Stills & Nash is so good but is too complicated for me to transcribe myself.
Hey Justin, not sure if you've heard of Jeff Healey, the late great Canadian artist. He did a great version of this song. He was truly gifted. Check him out if you haven't already. Edit: He also does a killer version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Check it out. Then check a video, when you see his technique you'll be amazed.
Really love this tune great lesson Justin. Please more of this to Norway.
Fantastic. I've been looking for a lesson to this song for a long time. Thank you very much!
rest of it coming in a couple of weeks!
Thanks again👌👌👍

Hey Justin, how about a lesson of "Still Life", by Suede? Cheers from Brazil.

One question: how did you mute the sixth string when playing that bass on the fifth and sixth string? Thanks!
Hi I have just picked up the electric guitar after playing acoustic and I must admit I am quite lot. Do you hav beginner lessons for electric please Justin. I am probably an intermediate level player on acoustic. Thanks Jude

Excelent! Thanks so much!

Hi Justin, love your lessons great as always. Would you be able to do a lesson on bring the bright lights by sunset sons? That would be awesome!
When are you gonna do Paranoid Android, Justin? The intro is difficult and there aren't any going tutorials online. Halp!

Hi Justin, could you do a lesson on Aerosmith's Living On The Edge? I'd love to learn that!
May I make a request, kind sir, for a lesson about a lovely Elliott Smith song, called Fond Farewell? It has a great melodic intro and some catchy chord sequences.
I'd like 'woke up this morning' - Lighting Hopkins
Dat tone
Cheers!
Giovani Capeletti what does ‘dat tone’ refer to?
Irena Halder, Giovani is complimenting Justin on his guitar tone. 'Dat tone', is really "That tone!". 'Tone' is a big topic, but basically, it's the way Justin is getting the guitar to sound, by a combination of pickup selection, amp settings, picking attack, etc...
karlfarren oh thank you! In other words, it’s a kind of slangy shorthand for ‘may I complement you on the good guitar tone you’ve achieved?’. Please pardon my ignorance 😊
Essentially, yes. And you're welcome. 👍🎸
Great lesson! When will you upload SRV's "Couldn't stand the weather" ? Looking forward to it man, take care.
There's another king, called Albert king who made an blue's classic called cross cut saw, could you add that one to your list. Thanks Justin
It's that sliding 6th turnaround from the dusty end of the board that's toughest
I want to apologize 1st but I have to ask b/c I cannot tell for sure. What does your guitar neck say? I am having trouble concentrating b/c I am trying to figure out what it says.
Hello justin, love your vid,s .l was hoping you could do ,girls on the avenue by richard clapton
What amp are you using?
Hey Justin I just love the work that you do! I have been using your website (Justinguitar. com)for a month and I am just a beginner and I play guitar on your advice. Good job. Keep it up!!!
Eres genial amigo
gracias!
Love it, thanks 👍
ur welcome!
this Es is gorgeous ;-)
Please do a lesson for Baba O'riley - The Who
Justin, can you make Radiohead - Talk Show Host lesson, it is very interesting, pretty easy song. Please
You should do at seventeen by Janis Ian (please)
He's not sliding from second fret High (E) to the 4th Fret 'G' in the first five notes. Everyone slides but i don't hear a slide! And in the sheet music it doesn't ever slide through an F sharp in the first 5 notes. In fact they cross out the F/sharp slide as they aren't playing any F sharp (in the first five notes of the lead). I do like you version but its different sounding; good job and cheers🙂
Stevie ray van plays the 3rd lick without the double.
YES
:)
I’m here bc of that Stevie ray video 😂
All basically major pentatonic melodies.
Do you all think this is the "easiest" version to learn VS Clapton, srv etc?
You talk to much
