I add my vote to this petition. Such a good reading! And such an opportune work to have present in these times! I have been thinking about this comic these last few days. Now seems a most excellent time to make a comeback.
I love the reference to the toll booth guy, spider telling him “I’ll be back for you”. And in issue 10, when Royce goes to see Spider in the mountains, the toll booth guy has been beaten up badly, he tells Royce it were two girls while a bald man stood watching, touching himself. Aaahahahah, man the attention to detail in Transmetropolitan is incredible!

It's truly shocking how much of Transmetropolitan is relevant today, despite over 20 years from when it started.

@@JnEricsonxI'm a year late, but Jim Rash would be the perfect fit to me.
He played the Dean on Community and he has a great energy, plays over the top character fantastically, is actually ripped, works well with weird costumes, and one specific episode has him tapping into a somber, darker character making it work perfectly (if you want to look for it online, it's the episode where they are making zn ad for the school, referencing Heart of Darkness)

No, TV series. You need the time to flush out the world and story. Think what they've done with Preacher, but with how things are politically these day (espeically in the US) a Transmet series would be amazing.
Just watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

To be honest I’m mostly seeing hunter s thompson in Spider Jerusalem.
Even the fact that his columns about an election get printed as a book is pretty analogous to hunters life.
I guess Spider is influenced by multiple people and mostly by “gonzo” itself.

Your Spider Jerusalem sounds like a mix of Tony Clifton and Johnny Bravo. I love it.
He's mostly inspired by Hunter S. Thompson.

I discovered this comic through the school library when I was in high school. Still surprised it was there (I live in France, too), but I am def not complaining

Well think about it. This is set 200 years in the future, so what if Spider is some kind of great-great-great-great-great-great grandson of Hunter S. Thompson who inherited his talents and knowledge?
If you haven't read it yet, lemme tell you that you're SPOT ON... but it goes places and becomes considerably more than that.

nice effort, but this is not at all how I'd imagined Spider's voice. then again, I suppose Hunter S.'s makes about as much sense as any other voice would.

It loosely based on him, but I just imagined Spider having a super hi-pitched voice. Maybe closer to Joe Pesci's in all those mob movies.
