I got one of these from my sister who got it for free from work. I froze some water in a bottle then poured it in the yeti ( not fully frozen just ice chunks). The ice didn't melt for at least 6 hrs, water was still cold 12hrs later.
Yes a thermometer and take the temp of the room and the liquid. Consider putting the hot liquid in the freezer and measure the temp of the liquid at various intervals and the temp of the freezer. I'm going to Yellowstone on a snowmobile trip late February and have been considering one of these.
May I ask a question? How do you actually cleanse the lid thoroughly with the magnetic mechanism, it seems very hard to clean because you can remove the magnetic thing and beverages slip through the lid.
Since the magnet piece comes all the way off the lid, it's easy to clean! Is that what you mean? I haven't had any trouble cleaning yeti so im not too sure I understood the question
This is the official lid from Yeti and I'd say it is splash-proof, it's just not spill-proof if you tip it upside down. It leaks just a little bit, as I demonstrated in the video.
I know this is an old video and you may not even have this cup anymore but how does it do if knocked over or falling 1-2 ft? I want to buy this but I'm worried if it gets knocked over at work it may spill
i dont think the lid would go flying off because it sticks on pretty tight, but as you'll see in the drip test, it does drip when upside down so there might be minimal spillage. for future videos about cups, i will try to remember to check what happens when the cup is dropped
One thing that is still a mystery and I hope you can solve it. What is the real amount of liquid in ml that can fit in a 20 oz yeti rambler. I've searched for all the videos on youtube but can't find them. Thanks
@@nicholasdemskiproductreviews base according US nutrition labeling is only in general. But, what i mean is according to actuality, because 20 oz yeti rambler have same amount of liquid with 16 oz pint yeti.
@@SonicVisionX thank you for letting me know. Indeed, the 20oz not really the actual size for hold the liquid, already bought it. But the 26oz aquifer blue with straw that my fave, it fit with venti size of starbucks.
It isn’t the mug that leaks, it’s the lid. The lid is the magnet slider that’s meant for ease of use with one hand, not for leak prevention. For a leak-free experience, I like my Contigo mug. What model is your vacuum mug? Maybe I’ll check that one out too 😁
@@Chaseh1616 i buy brumate xl teddy and its not leak, or even 3$ tumbler also not leak, but yes brumate is better quality, keep the temperature longer and less iron taste
@@nicholasdemskiproductreviews brumate teddy xl is not leak, there is also new era (i think the name) and also not leak, you can turn the cup to the right and its locked, but i lke "sip" Mode than straw, so i buy teddy xl

Premium quality product. I love my Yeti. For hot coffee or ice cold Coke Zero, it's perfect.

Awesome, thanks for sharing your experience!
I would humbly suggest that you use a thermometer the next
Okay, that’s a good idea, thank you

Great review! Thinking of picking up one for my friend who’s a big coffee drinker.
Glad u liked the video! Your friend would love it for their coffee on-the-go
Thanks for the shaking test. I want to be able to shake flavored water mixes in it.
You're welcome! Shake 'em up 😁
If it has sugar don’t. It’ll dribble out and make the thing sticky. Wish it was more spill proof

Is it better than Contigo Westloop 2.0 travel mug?
Haven’t tried that one personally, but I do like contigo mugs
That’s a pretty great review!! Meaning the review itself!
Any other coffee insulated mugs!tumbler suggestions since this review?
Thanks!
I just got a couple new tumblers and will make a video comparing them all!
I have this for coffee and a 30oz stanley for water
smart
great review thanks for showing some little drips upside down, im not planning to pack it much so it hasnt swayed me off it.
My pleasure 🙌 😁 thanks for watching my video

20oz is roughly 600 ml according to US nutrition labeling

@@maverunner The 20oz yeti does not comfortably hold 20oz. It's a scam, yet millions have bought it.

Question! Where did you buy that X wing behind you :) good video Btw!
I found the X-wing at a Goodwill a handful of years back 😁
And thanks, glad to know you're appreciating the content!
Great video
Perfect !
A 20 oz. tumbler should not hold 20 oz. to the brim. You should be able to comfortably use the lid. Massive Fail.
Let yeti know your thoughts 👍 I don’t think they read my comment section unfortunately 😁
And for $30+ you still got the leak? I buy vacuum mig for $3 with similar model with no leak when put upside down🥱

Why would you expect something like this not to leak? Impractical
