They are not as underrated as they used to..
They've been steadily gaining more notice. It's hard for groups from small companies to really get the exposure they need to get those big awards which are hugely views and votes based, but they've been doing lots of big things and performing with legends, so even if they never reach mega-view status, they're doing solid work and seem very happy.
The song piano man did well to be underrated. It even got on the charts.
They are well-appreciated actually. Even got to finals on Immortal Songs 2 and got 2 big rookie/newcomer awards 2014.

I can't lie out of this one...this track is fantastic. This is not your average rainbow showered bubble gum k-pop. It's like a well aged wine, class, flavorful, easy to get addicted to, and hard to forget.

But idk why they are underrated comparing to other famous groups
Their company just doesn't care to promote them. There has several opportunities and chances for #MAMAMOO to go global but the company didn't care to take the chances. Such as Hwasa having a collaboration with Dua Lipa, the company didn't even mentioned it in their social platforms. Ughhh.
This group makes me so incredibly happy. They're not gangsta, or aegyo. They show that you don't have to wear less to be sexy. Honestly a lot of "sexy" dances out there straight up make me cringe. "Sexiness" in kpop seems so forced these days. This group's style is mature and refined while still being fun and up beat. They also wear suits, which just makes me so giddy. Suits are the bomb. I hope this group is embraced well by the kpop fandom.

MAMAMOO and Kiss & Cry are gonna carry the torch after SNSD, 2NE1, and Sistar retire.
Lol let's not get too carried away. They've both only released one single and have a lot to prove. After listening to Kpop for almost 10 years let me tell you that there have been dozens of talented groups like these that come and go in a blink of an eye. Talent alone can't you to the top. Also, Sistar is nowhere near SNSD and 2NE1 in terms of popularity or fandom, they only do well on digital charts with their title songs.
Obviously, without proper management and musical direction, they could flop, but i feel like they have great potential to rise in the next couple of years. But, it is possible that I might have been carried away because I like those two songs a lot. Also, who would be your third? F(x)? Maybe, but SM treats them like garbage. KARA? They just lost two members which I think could hurt them musically and popularity-wise. I don't mean to sound mean at all, but who would you place as third?
Out of the 2 groups I think Mamamoo have a better chance at making it, considering their company and it's connections. As for Kiss&Cry, their company really doesn't have much of a budget (and one of the members, Dia, flopped under the same company as a solo artist) so they probably won't have that much of a chance.
I agree about f(x) and Kara (who I'd probably place 3rd before the members leaving). As for right now, I'd probably place 4minute but the point is that it's a very distant 3rd. I say this not only because of sales, but because SNSD and 2NE1 are the only girl groups right now that can pull off a world tour. Of course, 4minute has probably already peaked and will most likely begin a decline in the next year or so.
A group that I'm really expecting take a top spot in the next year or so is APink. They had an amazing year and their popularity is exponentially increasing. Realistically though, the next #1, #2 and #3 spots will probably go to SM and YG's (or even Woolim's) upcoming girl groups.
Now, that you mention the budget aspect, I'm really scared for Kiss&Cry. Also, I see you on Apink, but I had to laugh at the thought of a SNSD "world" tour. I'm a Sone, but i know that their tours don't go past China. Anyway, thanks for the conversation and we'll see how Kpop favors this year.

its been two years since this mv was released...two years since mamamoo was introduced to the public. i love these girls with all my heart and they have made me so happy this past year and helped me with my depression.these girls might not mean a lot to others but to me they mean the world. Couple of years ago when i heard pre debiut song with kwill and that one with bumkey, i realise that Mamamoo is different girlsband, so i decide to support them. I was active in community from begining trying to promote them to all kpop stans. I felt that MMO deserved reconigtion. And here we are, time passed and they are successful now. I never met them face to face but I feel so proud of them :)
