My brothers family nearly died in those floods. He moved a month before and his old place was completely washed away. There would have been no escaping with as quickly the floods came if they still lived there. The Elkview area

The residents of the RIO GRANDE VALLEY in TEXAS suffered similarly the same from HURRICANE HANNAH in 2020. Millions of dollars in damage, thousands were out of power for weeks,homes were lost and damaged and hundreds were left HOMELESS. Almost all that requested for assistance from our government were denied financial assistance. Those who had home flood insurance were refused coverage or little help was given. Why was these ? Simply because we are minorities. Mexican Americans paying white man prices. FEMA refused us help because of who we were. I fell nothing for those who have lost property,as they felt nothing for us. I feel bad in my heart for being honest with my fellow Americans and asked for forgiveness from God.
Sorry, this is nothing compared to the johnstown Pennsylvania flood in 77, water still in town 3 day's after heavy rain and 3 dam's broken that night. Aas the years go by there will be more of this type of damage. Not prepared.
