- The Apostles at Paphos is a Biblical and Historical documentary by Theologian and Musician Simon Peter Sutherland. Filmed on location at Paphos, Cyprus, Simon Peter visits the ancient sites associated with St Paul, as written about in Acts 13: 4-12.

The New Testament Narrative by St Luke around AD 59-60
"So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem."

Subbed. In 45 Paul preached at paphos in ad 65 big earth quake destroys it. Some people believe then die. Jesus removed his candle stick. Light comes and goes where two or three gather in Jesus name. Eternal life is for heaven we come and go on earth. Repent believe now is the accepted time today the day of salvation. Trust Jesus now. The Bible is historical and true every time. Good work Simon

Nice, but it would be much more useful and understandable if modern English was used for the
Scripture reading. As it is, kids can not understand it. Our children need to be educated in the truth. This would be a great tool, if modified a bit.
Hello, thank you for your comment. The translation used in this film is the English Standard Version and was published in 2002. There are no plans whatsoever to modify any of the audio and Scriptural content of these documentaries.

Paphos or Pafos......not Pathos....
Yes, that has already been established. Acts 13: 6 in Koine Greek is "Paphos" and "paf'-os". In Latin "Paphum" in Olde English; "Paphus". There is a massive amount of accents in Britain, and Paphos can sound like Pathos in some accents. I believe it has been pronounced in both ways in the film.
Can we move on from that now please.
