I have just discovered your lectures thanks to a programme ‘Partners for Torah’, and my teacher recommended you… What a blessing! I listened to a similar one on Spotify. Growing up without being taught about Judaism, I see now how I have been impoverished. Thank you so much I appreciate this message 🙏🏻✨
I was raised Christian and anti Semitic. However, listening to Jewish rabbis is a delicious experience in logical thinking... His definition of faith, clarifies many foggy Idialogical contradictions.
Knowledge or revelation is described as male and faith described as female is already taught in the book of Hebrews. Also, that faith is placed in a hope that is certain. Nothing about 'blind' faith.
Rabbi: you say, "The organ that forms seed comes from the kidney". I thought sperm come from the testes, and ova come from the ovaries, two organs independent of the kidneys. Are you saying there is an embryological mesenchymal cell that uniquely forms any one and every one of these 3 organs , and independent of any other organ at that?
Does anyone know the source for the messianic narrative where the Jews and Bnei Yishmael had the contest like Elijah's, except it was the Arab's sacrifice that was accepted as a test of faith and the Jews fled and fought in the desert until Mashiach came and led the fight back?
Rabbi Akiva Tatz mentioned it in one of his shiurim. The source he mentioned was called “Beis HaMidrash”. I’ve asked other Rabbi’s as well on it but nothing more on that source.
After Jesus rose from the dead He appeared 1st to Mary yes on her own and then to His disciples more then one at a time many times ,,and to two on the road going to their home .I KNOW He lives because He is with me every day .Especially when our 3 sons died all in their mid 20s. The grace and love HE imparted to us was ,,is tangible,,No matter what is going on in my life , I have faith in Gods goodness .
I love Rabbi Akiva Tatz. However--claims not existing about God speaking-that God talked to people with more than one witness-- outside the spiritual tradition he will accept, relies on a ‘remez’ interpretation of Mt. 3(:16-17) where when Christians claim God spoke a voice from heaven--that all of John’s disciples, opponents, and onlookers (as well as the "many" of the "Pharisees and Sadducees" mentioned directly previously in the chapter) having gone home or otherwise absented themselves, a ‘remez’ interpretation being relied upon here that pretty far strains credulity. I think most Christians would claim that there was a large crowd there, even if you can argue that there is somehow only John present at the Baptism.... that directly proves the (10:00) statement that there are no claims of God speaking with ‘not *even* one’ witness, since the text clearly seems to indicate John was there, ...to be false.
Also, the *claim* is there in this case, that the vision of Paul on the road to Damascus was witnessed, 10:49, vocally, if not visually. Acts 9:7 says the men journeying with Paul were speechless, *hearing a voice,* but seeing nothing.... leaving us with this not just being a claim of "only a personal revelation."
Thought I'd give some clarifications. The Quran was not revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) all at once, as is - perhaps mistakenly insinuated in this lecture. It was a piecewise revelation that spanned a little over 20 years. I'm sure the Rabbi did find Torah manuscripts predating Islam - we Muslims believe that the Bani Israel were a privileged nation and the torch bearers of Allah for thousands of years. It was only after rejecting the Messiah (who Muslims believe will descend again) that the next Prophet came from the Arabs. Yes, we believe the Messiah is Jewish (Isa / Jesus (PBUH)) and will rule the world (including Muslims) for a specified time. This time will be the best humanity has ever witnessed. Here are some verses pertaining to the covenant made to the Israelites. Quran Chapter 1, Verse 40: "O Children of Israel! Remember , My Favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill My Covenant so that I, fulfill (My Obligations) your covenant (with Me), and fear none but Me." Quran Chapter 1, Verse 83: "And (remember) when We took a , covenant from the Children of Israel: Worship none but Allah (Alone) and be dutiful and good to parents, and to kindred, and to orphans and the poor" We believe that the Bani Israel in some ways were more privileged than our nation - as most of the prophets (with the exclusion of Ismael (PBUH) & Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) came from them. They even witnessed Moses (PBUH) speak directly to Allah. However, such privileges were accompanied by stricter regulations. The more proof you're given - the higher the bar is set for you. A miracle of this proportion can therefore work against you. The leeway that Allah affords people who are subservient without witnessing these amazing miracles could not be extended to Bani Israel at times. Anyway, there's a lot that can be said, and there are several points of contention between Judaism and Islam (especially with regards to the less than dignified portrayal of some Prophets David / Solomon (PBUH)). TH-cam isn't exactly the place for protracted theological exchanges.

Such a pleasure to experience the profound knowledge and teaching of Rabbi, Doctor Akiva Tatz!💗
Thank you!
My gosh. Brilliance personified. Rabbi Tatz is a brilliant Jewish star.
Rabbi Tatz is the wisest person I ever heard. Have to listen to this again.

Absolutely phenomenal shiur. So enjoy Rabbi Tatz's knowledge and intellect, and his casual delivery of such deep topics.
My spirit jumps for joy when I hear your shiurim, dear Rabbi.
Baruch HaShem! Excellent teaching!
Excellent to distinguish between "faith" and "faithfulness".
A great teacher! Mesmerizing!
Excellent to distinguish between"absolute proof" of God and "compelling evidence".

Todah for this deep intellectual teaching Rabbi
Am Yisrael Chai 🕎🇮🇱❤️

Already????
The Torah supersedes heberews by about 2000 years
Read your bible bro.
In order.

urethra carries sperm...maybe he was referring to that...

I am a Muslim - but I haven't heard of anything like this in our source books.

We will never have proof of God because we will always need "faith"
Why does God accept their offering?
42:55 - 😆😆😆😆😆😆

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’ve never thought that Joseph had nothing to do with JC’s birth since it was an immaculate conception after all.
