- I talk about why your first Fujifilm prime lens should be one of the Fujicrons, especially if you've only been shooting with one of the kit zoom lenses.

I have 35mm f2 since day 1 and i am never parting with it. It's so good and small
Sweet
Sweet like a finely tuned guitar
I always want to get a Fuji camera but the market goes crazy after X100VI is more expensive than XT5 nowadays
X-Pro 2 is a really good option if you want something similar to the X100 series but at a much affordable price.
The 90mm f2 is technically a fujicron, perhaps the first
I only wish it was smaller 😅 (wishful thinking)
maybe Fujifilm could make XC version of another fujicron to compete with chinese-made low-cost lenses
They do have the lower cost XC35mm f2 lens available, although without weather resistance and without an aperture ring. Unfortunately it’s the only focal length they have for an XC prime lens currently.
I find my sweet spot with 27mm. I own all fujicrons, but I never use them any more.
It’s great to find the focal length that works best for you.
I've read (and seen some examples) of some truly abhorrent barrel distortion in the RAWs from the 35mm f2. Apparently this is by design and they rely on software correction in the JPEGs as a cost saving measure. Is that something you've had to work around?
That isn’t something I’ve experienced myself. I mainly shoot RAWs and edit in Capture One. I would love to see where you’ve read this from if you have the links. Thanks!
@@MrGeorgeCheng youtube doesn't allow you to post links in comments, but if you Google "fuji 35mm f2 barrel distortion" you can see some threads on fujix-forum that talk about the distortion and share some example pics.
