    As a mexican, I find it weird that, except for Amalia García, no one has ever included voices and singing in prehispanic mesoamerican music. Aztecs, mayans and other indigenous populations surely must have sung in their languages, many of which we still know well enough.

      México tiene una cultura muy antigua y rica, amo mi país y esta música antigua es tan mística. Pocos son los países de America que tuvieron grandes y avanzadas civilizaciones, México tiene 2 de las 3 civilizaciones más antiguas e importantes de America, en nuestro país se creó el chocolate desde hace miles de años, así como el chicle y otras cosas. Además los mayas ya sabían de astronomía y tenían su propio sistema de escritura e incluso de drenaje. ❤

    i'm a 32 years old russian dude that discovered aztecs through late 1990s AoE2 game and all these years later i'm still upset and angry about Cortez. All the human sacrifices concerned.
    I am also of an oppinion that aztec were the pure beautiful culture that could largely contrribute to the humanity if not for the Cortez.
    The Mexico City situation with all the sinking and water shortage seems somewhy just.

    • @TheTranceCartel
      @TheTranceCartel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      "Upset and angry about Cortes" why? It was the Tlaxcala and Purépecha who ended the brutality and savage colonialism of the Aztec Empire, Cortes was just their excuse to finally undo the Mexica Triple Alliance

    • @holden_fella
      @holden_fella 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@TheTranceCartel The history of those days is fuzzy, but judging on what's available on the alliance and Spanish invasion neither of three tribes really survived the invasion.
      which wasn't sanctioned, since Cortez left for americas before the permit was approved, which it wasn't.
      aztec had culture, history or deep folklore at least;
      speculation, but if not for europeans they'd consume the other tribes eventually like they did before and evolve into a new and better political state. i mean they were quite advanced from what we can gather from current sources.
      consuming chocolate, exercising poetry, trying to build a society, then come Cortez, with flu, guns, horses and everything else your culture isn't ready for feels just unfair.

    My ancestors and there ancestors hunted the Manahuactazle region in Southern Quintana Roo Mexico they fished the rivers and the mangroves for generations, they farmed the lands before anyone, my oldest ancestors on record are from the year 123 AD they fought resistance against Toltec hunters for hundred’s of years, these were the soldiers of the rulers of Mesoamérica who gathered slaves in the east from there territories in Western Pacific Chiapas and North Western Pacific Guatemala, my ancestors were not quitters they settled and traded with the Mayas, I know this due to Ancestry Testing and old scriptures which survived Colonization of my family’s lands, I also find my ancestors travelled to Veracruz settling there during the early colonial era where no land was taken yet, later I find that they travelled through Mexico as nomad to later settle in southwestern Texas with a outskirt nomadic Chiricahua people, I was born in Southern deep Guyana and the Mesoamerican is one deep historical piece of me and I still pass on the stories of my ancestors to the ones that started in there original native blood land, my other side is also deeply engraved in my soul and heart, my other side originates from the deep southern Guyanese-Brazilian Essequibo river I know this because I was raised here for generations I grew up in these lands and was the last generation raised un-contacted, I was raised on stilts built on the river coast only with what the motherland offered, my people made long trips that took days to weeks by canoe to the Essequibo delta to fish those waters and provide for my people for generations, if your wondering how I have this deep culture my people split ways while finding where to settle on the Pacific coast coming from who knows where most likely due to my ancestry data it had recollections from New Guinea, Tonga, New Zealand, and a deep African ancestry but that’s most likely not due to my deeper ancestors but more spread out being common in many different families due to the Atlantic Slave trade in The Americas, but back to the topic I don’t know exactly where my people originated or came from only the Sea but I know they split ways one travelled East to the Essequibo and Navigated the Delta and one travelled North from Peru through Ecuador Colombia and Panama all the way through Central America to reach Quintana Roo, I was contacted by some historians of some sort who viewed my people as a nomad civilization which settled and travelled they still are good friends and they are the ones who helped me find my bloodline and history of my people, they told me that my people also most likely made other permanent settlements while travelling with interest in The Gran Chaco, Choco Rainforest, Guanacaste Costa Rica, Rio coco/Coco river, Cayó district Belize, and Central Chiapas. My people knew how to build and the Mayas chose not to invade there territory to this day no one will know but we do know they preserved my families history by gifting personal artifacts and engravings into there cities. The preserved documents are legally mine and I chose to have them preserved in a private museum owned by those who helped me find my heritage.
