Wonderful review - thanks for sharing your thoughts. The Orioles have become my go to headphones, outpacing a few higher priced (but more boring) cans - cheers!
I ran into the same issue with my mezes at work. I get pretty self conscious when I get compliments about "fancy" things. I stopped wearing a watch for years because of the same thing. I've been using dt 770s at work now and they haven't gotten any comments from my friendly coworkers 😊.
To be honest most of these over ear headphones will have similar passive noise isolation, but it will be governed mainly by how well the earcups fit your head - which is why I'd always recommend trying them on before you buy, or buy from a store with a good open-box return policy.
Do you think it's worth replacing the Oriole stock cable with another one? I remember 021 had a problem with the native "microphone effect" cable. The Oriole cable does not have this problem?
There is a thing i find odd in all reviews of newcoming headphones etc. All reviewers make their videos in approximate period one month after receiving this unbelievable peace of art. Not in 3-6 months after release, but all together in one month... Noone showing frequency response graphics while talking about clearly seen sound improvement and more couple moments making these videos really.... similar to others. That (terms used in description, luck of technical details and mostly same production timings) leave a strong feeling of prepaid technical order rather then review... You can say that all reviewers got them in same period of time of course, but despite the fact that they all living in different parts of our planet and have their own life except video content making (hope so) makes such coincidences hmmm... abit doubtful.
@@jacobfield4848 Yes, but really in range from 150-200$ we have not to many decent headphones, so meze 99 is the first which can be as opponent, bcz they are too with wooden materials. And im looking for decent headphones now with good materials and build quality and this sivga looks good, but im worried about sound. As i know they are have "dry" sound.

Great review as always -- all the best for '23
Same to you. Thanks 😀
Great video ! I would like to get a nomad hifi headphone, what do you think about isolation compared to the Meze 99 classics ?

Liking the beard mate . Great stuff as usual 👍
Sadly the wife hates it so it'll be gone soon 😬
Love ya stuff
Excellent review! It left me curious about one thing however. Did using a balanced output improve the sound or technical quality at all?
I think it did, but it might be placebo!

The Oriole cable does not have this problem?
it has a bit of microphonics - I prefer the SV023 balanced cable
Focal Listen Pro vs Sivga Oriole?
hm, interesting question.

This worries me also. They also keep comparing it to the Meze Neo, it seems scripted. It does not mean they are a bad headset though.

No BS - just how I like it.
