The penguin retransfer card has a thin white strip of unprinted card. The process is wasteful relying on colored ribbons where each card sized portions is a single color. You'd need at least 3-4 passes to print one CMY(K) card per side. Whatever is not used gets thrown out when the spool is depleted.
