Suzy, your work is always so detailed and inspiring. When I saw this journal on the live, I knew I wanted to know everything about it. This is gorgeous! I want to know how you make those little thread nests. I can only get them when my machine jams up. 😅 and maybe yours does too and you use it as a design feature? ❤
Thank you ❤️ The nests do look like the result of a machine jam but it’s simply a length of balled up thread that I add into my stitching… super easy!

Thank you. Yes, I fill the pages first. that way I can get an idea of how thick my spine needs to be.

You sometimes put two or more people photos on a page. Do you try to keep their time periods the same, going by their clothes or hairstyles?
When choosing my people I look at the faces or attitudes more than the time period. Or if they are colorized I choose a color that goes with my page.
