In this video, I share how Thriva helped me identify and resolve a potential silent killer I thought was under control. For £20 off your first test with them (it also gives me £20 of my next test) please use this link: thriva.co/i/SJP8Q7 All the best! Steve
Good morning, Steve! This is a super important video! Thank you for sharing your status and experiences. Oh yes….the yearly blood test! It is a great snap shot of our status. For me, sugars popped up on mine. The doctor wanted to throw some medicines at it, which, he happened to have left out that it probably would be for life. So, being a retired army, albeit somewhat broke, guy, I knew what to do. Since mid March, I cut out the crummy foods and got off the couch. That has brought down 32 lbs. And, when I test my blood multiple times per day, I am on the glide path for the readings to be back down to normal. This is what brought me to your channel. My running days are over, but I do walk and hike a lot. As I told you in another video, we live in an environment that is icy half the year…and the trails are in the avalanche zones. So, we will probably get one of these treadmills to help fill the gaps on the days I can’t go outside.
Good video and totally agree, live in Denmark and have a great healthsystem, but need to be your own doctor and do the things that ensure we keep us healthy in the long run. I had some bloodwork done during a fitness/heart test and my ldl is also creeping up, just hope i can avoid statins.
@SteveJulien I am very well thanks. Had a great trip to Peloton studio yesterday for a push push crew takeover. It was such a great day. I hope you and your family are enjoying your weekend in this beautiful sunshine 🌞
Hi Steve, I also have higher cholesterol, the measurable on cholesterol is not sufficient, you need to delve deeper into the cholesterol results, it’s a bigger subject than just the 3 results and can be misleading. Word of warning I would stay away from Statins, they have more of a detrimental effect on your body! Doctors will always give you medication, but it’s important to delve deeper.

You kept it G, as you tend to do, in this video. I appreciated hearing the closing to the video. Wise words, that needed to be spoken. Thank you 🎉
I appreciate that

Very useful, Steve.

Before watching the video I guessed it was going to be a LP(a) result.
