Definitely ues lens hoods everything you said is spot on. My old friend who used to have his own photography shop, he sold cameras and prossesed film, always said to use a lens hood whenever you can, he also put me onto those rubber lens hoods they fold so you never need to remove it and its ready to go, but down side its collapses so you still need your lens cap, but irs a lot easier to remove and replace the cap. Not saying this is the best option but because the hood uses the filter thread you can use the same hood on any lens that has the same size filter thread, this is also good if you are on a budget. But nothing beats the oem hood you are verry correct. Thank you
Great in depth explanation mate! I always use a lens hood e.g. for my telephoto lens and my go to 35mm f/1.4 but not for macros as it would get in the way of the flash😑 cheers
It’s always best to use the lens hood at all times. Except for filter use and put away in your camera bag, I can’t think of a single exception. Keep in mind, the lens hood also protects the lens from accidental scratches and damages. Thanks for watching, and thank you for the question.
How do I use a lenses hood and a no filter at the same time the lens hood is too small when I put the filter on because the filter gets slightly bigger at the end so it doesnt fit
Now, that’s a great reason to use a lens hood! More often than not, I find the benefits of protecting the lens outweigh the benefits of reduced flares. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Oh man, you don’t know how much it just helped me to learn you could store these by putting them on backwards 😂

A lens hood is truly one of the best tools in the bag. I don't think anyone could go wrong using it as often as possible. Thanks for watching!

¿Or is better without?
¿What is the best?
Thanks again

Send a pic to my email and I’ll have a look. On that note, I typically don’t use my hood when I have an attached filter, it depends on the situation.
I'm 83 and I always use a lens hood. Why? Because I'm clumsy and it protects my lens when I bang the lens against some inanimate object......
