My plan to make things easy on longer tours was to buy a Campervan and a bike trailer and do the boring bit in the dry and comfort. Some thieving Bar Steward stole the Campervan before I even got the chance to test this method out. I miss the van, it was handy for weekends and holidays but when the insurance payed out I bought the Rocket so my riding comfort went up a level 😊 Are you still planning Scotland or is the Lake District a taster to see how feasible that would be?
AH I didn't know that story mate. Sorry to hear that but on the bight side, you got the triumph :). I think The Lake District is about half way so we are going to try this first and see how it goes. I know the wife wants to tour Wales so we may do that next and then Scotland after that.
No room for blue bikes? 😢 Take breaks every 90 minutes. Use the core and knees to hold yourself up, not the wrists. Move around on the bike and do little stretches. Carry a first aid kit, tyre repair and toolkit to deal with easy issues (fuses, duct tape, zip ties, WD-40) Enjoy the lake District. I know a few good motovloggers up there 👍 You want to know how to last longer? 🤔🤣🤣
Blue bike are also welcome we just need to change the name o the series from old blokes with green bikes to old blokes with Kwakers :) I think you would have just got back from Scotland at this point anyway right?
