My most viewed video is almost 3 years old, and it still gets more views most days than any of my other videos. I don’t, nor will I ever understand TH-cam. I’m not sure why the Goldwings get so much knocking. Incredible machines, and so much fun!!
My best performing video is one I did covering my perspective on the motorcycle community. Some may say the thumbnail is a bit of “clickbait”, but I think it’s fitting for the content of the video because it reflects my experience from riding. I don’t focus on my bike in any of my content simply because I know I ride a bike that isn’t popular. 😆 I don’t care for shorts. I can’t make sense of which shorts gain traction and which ones don’t.
That was a very effective thumbnail. Wouldn't consider it clickbait at all. It appeared in my feed several times before I clicked on it, and i stayed because the video delivered on the promise. Reasonable strategy in my eyes. YT pushed it hard because it was converting viewers. 👍
@@soggybawsmoto So you reluctantly clicked on the video only after YT beat you into submission. 😆 I’m kidding. I’m glad you clicked on the video because that’s how I found your channel and I’ve enjoyed your content.
@RestlessMule 😂 It's a great demonstration of the algorithm doing its job, and a high click through rate. YT kept delivering it to my feed knowing I was target audience. I've become a super geek on YT education/stats/strategy. The same rainman behaviours that attracted me to motorbikes as a kid, is starting to rub off on me with my YT focus 😂
Did someone say 5 videos a week? Don't mind if I do!!! LOL, the Lawnmower video crested 105k views recently, but yeah, I just throw things at a wall and see what sticks. It ain't easy, bein' cheesy. I'll see myself out. But, I have a number of product install/review videos that continue to garner views - those are what keep the lights on, so to speak. The vlogs are just plain fun. Keep at it man, there's more room for Harley vloggers :D
@@MisplacedMotoVlogger It's not easy, my friend! I had 2 weeks in 2023 where I put out a video every day... it was quite the push. I don't really want to do that again, at least not if I actually EDIT the videos, LOL.
My two best performing videos are a detailed bike ownership review, and a market analysis. After that, four of five how to technical features. It breaks my heart that what i set out to do, Scottish Island recce's gain very little traction. Looking at the succesful channels here in the UK (if you measure success by numbers) its all down to bike reviews. Im dipping my toe into this side of things. But trying to do so through story telling. Theres definately a skill to vlogging that i dont have. I need to prepare almost every word in advance, and rely on the edit to appear coherent 😂 Ride safe buddy
Yeah, I had to chop out some choppyness, probably not a word, out of this one too. 😅 I enjoy watching videos of different places, I’d love to visit Scotland and do some riding. The Dolomites in Italy would be on that list too. Thanks for watching. 🤙🍺
my old spyder videos from 4 years ago are still pulling views and are my top videos. I do the same videos as other can am channels and they get the views.. It's just how it is. I don't even worry about it anymore.
That's cool that your older videos keep getting the views. I feel the same way anymore, just gonna throw crap against the wall and see what sticks. 😂 Thanks for watching.🤙🍻
My motovlogs (basically all of my videos) just don’t get traction. I’ve been doing TH-cam for many years, I still have less than 700 subs, and more than a hundred views is still an accomplishment!!
My “Slow burners” or “Evergreen” are my Indian Rental videos. Those continue to burn. Controversy always sells….I think a balance is good. Motovlogs about a colonoscopy just are not gonna cut it…or hmmmmm…maybe it will? I’d say it’s not about the “props” but in the YT world it is. If you figure it out let me know😂

I do like the Goldwings, just not sure about the DCT, I'd rather be able to shift. Thanks for watching.👍
@@MisplacedMotoVlogger yea, not sure about the DCT either, just don’t know if I could, or would want, to get used to that…
Road Glide living is the best living! I totally get the whole videos that get popular follow no rhyme or reason for sure
The RG is an awesome bike for sure. Still need a few upgrades on mine, but I'll get there. Thanks for watching Ben. 🤙🍻

That was a good video, and wasn’t all that long ago. Maybe slip a few bike specific videos in there, you might be surprised. Thanks for watching. 🤙🍺

@@RoadReality I honestly would not even try it. I have a hard enough time getting one video out every couple of weeks let alone one everyday. 😂

Not if it's me wearing one.😂😂😂
Test riding Harley's is the best. I got 14000 + on the best one.

It is a strange thing. Hey your 3 hole oil change video is about to get another view from me, almost due for 5k service. Thanks for watching Nore. 🤙🍺
I think How To videos get more views than anything else!
I agree, installs as well. I don’t have patience for either. 😅
