      @@FlawedOffroad That’s actually a great idea. For people like me with limited space … a vice mounted to a hitch creates a whole new workspace. Hmmmm.

    Magnetic tray comes in handy when working on rig in dirt and mud.

    Grab yourself some roll bar bags. Would help save some space for loose stuff.

      I wish I would have put it all in the jeep in the video to show how I do it. Most recent Moab trip I even had room for a fridge back there. Alot of it stays at my truck when I trailer it. Plus my 50 cal ammo can center console holds alot!

    Bro unless it's a noco jump box, I would keep your cables. Those cheap jump boxes with the external connect wires will burn up on you. I've seen them burn up on a lawnmower, first try. They are ok for keeping for backup chargers for cameras and phones though.
    I carry 2.5gal of water.
    2, 5lb extinguishers.
    20v DeWalt chainsaw along with my old impacts, 3/8 1/2, 2 5ah batts.
    I'll make a vid of my stuff after I get the zj back in the shop. Working on a 6in install on a TJ for a guy right now.

      I threw it on my 100% dead dodge journey( like the dome lights wont even come on) and it fired up instantly as if it had a full battery I was kind of shocked. That would be my luck to swap out to a jump pack and have it fail me

    • @MegaMarclar
      @MegaMarclar 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FlawedOffroad I went through 6 before I got my noco. the box on the wires on the cheaper ones are diodes, sometimes they like to burst into flames on their own during cranking. I had another one swell up and explode trying to start a 3.7 wk. another one swoll up and started a fire in the shop I worked in at the time. I mean, if they are sending them to you to try out,,... abuse it and see what happens. but I definitely would not trust it as my only backup.

    Keep the jumper cables in your bag. When you need to crank those jump box's won't last.

    • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had a few people suggest that and it makes sense. I tested the jump pack on a 100% dead Dodge Journey and it cranked over like it had a full battery so I know it’s got some output but my luck it would die when I need it

    I like having of those plumber's grabber things around. Good for grabbing stuff and fishing it through plus it doesn't stick to everything like a normal extendable magnet.

    I'm a field Geologist and have been working in the most remote areas of the Mojave and Corado Deserts for 40 years, mostly alone. I have driven a variety of 4x4 vehicles, now a 20-yo 4Runner. I have never been stuck (where I couldn't get out), nor broken down. "Lucky"? Not really. I drive conservatively, am well prepared, scout the way on foot, and keep my vehicles in top condition. For some, rolling over, driving off stream banks, or snapping your driveline while trying to crawl up a waterfall, andgenerally trashing your ride is all part of the "fun". Not me. A 30-mile walk to the nearest road is not my idea of a good time.

    Keep your jumper cables in your Jeep. The jumper box is nice but I have had a few time it wouldn’t start a really dead battery. Good video tho!

      I might just to have on hand for emergency welding cables with car batteries. Probably leave it at my truck and trailer though. Wheeling destinations are hours of driving from me so I rarely drive the jeep to the trail anymore.

    Heavy duty flash light/LED clipped to roll bar…. You can wrap a lot of stuff to the roll bar and don’t forget an extra layer of padding over that.
