I think Kevin Smith put it best, this movie is an action movie where they replaced all of the action with words, but left in the adrenaline. I'm paraphrasing, but it's still accurate

Recycled from West Wing, but nonetheless one of Sorkin’s sickest and most beautiful burns.
Genie Hossain I didn’t even know Sorkin wrote this and I still felt his influence in the back and force dialogue

everyone has already lauded Fassbender’s casting in this movie, but for me his mastery is in his physicality. The way he stands over Andy and leans forward at the shoulders to talk to him on not quite eye-level is an incredible detail. Fantastic film!
Such an amazing performance. Most people think a "great" performance needs screaming of crying or spilling guts, but what it really requires is being 100 percent believable as a character. I don't know how accurate this is to the actual Jobs but you don't ever think Fassbender is acting for a second here.
They probably didn't have that conversation but it's still exactly how he was.
I think Hertzfeld himself once said something to the effect of, none of it happened, but all of it is true.
Steve Jobs's motto was simple: Recruit the nerdy looking short guys and then intimidate them.
You ever seen a picture of Jobs? He was no where near this good looking.

Should hv won the oscar, we know academy owed Leo and that long overdue publicity but Fassbander gave the best performance that year. Enough said

The performance was solid, but he did carry that movie, so if best actor is MVP he wins, not sure it is, but maybe.
Naah, Leo deserved it for the Revenant, Fassbender performance doesn't convince me that he is Steve Jobs.
Love both films and Fassbender was magnetic as Jobs, but nah Leo's work in Revenant was nothing short of incredible

Amazing shot.. it lead us to believe it was a private conversation, just the three of them. Then the camera pan around showing the entire team while Steve explains how he's going to publicly embarrass Andy. But it also showed how he knows each and every one who worked on the Mac

This movie is more intense and thrilling than most action and horror movies. Brilliant directing by Boyle and all the actors do an amazing job with Sorkin’s dialogue. Truly overlooked gem of a film.
Michael Fassbender's acting makes Ashton Kutcher's look like a game of charades.
when at 0:52 he says “down to the calculator” it’s funny because Steve Jobs hated the calculator the team developed, he would constantly reject it so one of his devs made an app for Steve to design the calculator and he made one in 10 minutes which ended up being the one shipped out in the Mac

"No, the Mac is beige, I'm beige, the disk is blue, the shirt has to be white." He actually took the disk out in real life. Also, one of my favorite movies of 2015. Sorkin is my favorite screenwriter of all time. His movies are documentary worthy yet he makes them so engaging.
Sorkin is a frigging genius, look at Philip Seymour Hoffman's dialogue in Charlie Wilson's War.

I love the music in this scene, 'Russian Roulette' by Daniel Pemberton. It's like a twisted Waltz of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

I'm watching this movie now, for the first time, and I just had to stop it to find this scene on here so I can save it for later. The music (and it's pacing), the acting, the dialogue... Everything is so smart and impressive!
Kate Winslet was fantastic in this, she's like a completely different person, a lot like mid-90s Gary Oldman

@@matthewhetzler4912 Dude, my comment was over 2 years ago. I was watching clips on TH-cam to see if I wanted to buy the damn thing in the first place (I did). Great movie, loved every minute of it.
My ultimate opinion? Yeah, Jobs was pretty unhinged. Granted the movie is likely not to be a totally accurate representation (as is the case with most biopics) but there again my original comment stated 'THIS MOVIE makes jobs seem a bit unhinged'. So technically I wasn't wrong.
This movie inspires me. If it’s not a masterpiece then it’s close.

This is what the first movie should've been. Two years before "Jobs" we had "The Social Network", and what "The Social Network" had over "Jobs" was great snappy writing. Seriously, compare "Steve Jobs" to "The Social Network". I wouldn't be surprised if you thought they got the guy who wrote "The Social Network".

Fun Fact: The famous talking demo unit at the launch was a prototype of a newer Macintosh, not the launch version. The launch version could not do the voice demo.

It means that the voice is similar to Mark's voice. Fassbender's voice doesn't sound like this so it may be voice over by Mark (which is a tin foil hat because there's no Mark Wahlberg on the credits).
It's not. I worked on the film as an extra in the 1988 NeXT scenes in San Francisco. I spent three days standing next to Fassbender. He actually did sound like this. It's his own voice.

I watched both movies ( Kutcher and Fassbender). I liked this one better although Kutcher resembles the most (looks).
I agree, Jobs had Middle Eastern heritage , NOT Northern European. But Fassbender is the better actor, tho.
Yeah, this movie put very little effort into making Fassbender look like Jobs. Everything else is great though.
